so someone said that the latest alive patch is workin with the DEV build... i just tried ALIVE in Dev build and i get the same old message... basically saying " this version of alive is not compatible with this version of arma" how are you guys running alive in Dev build... I remember asking about dev build and they said it was a NO GO... maybe i missed the post can someone reiterate for me.... -

Well, honestly i never really checked the userconfig in detail, it looked the same as the old one. and maybe i missed reading where it said to replace old config with the new one. However. I have updated back to the latest version and pulled the userconfig to the main folder. and i do NOT get crashing anymore... hmm. Thanks kklown. and if i haven't said it already, Thanks L etranger for the mod!! -

i can confirm that the latest update crashes my game with in seconds of launching a mission. I used PlayWithSix to revert to the last version. and no crashing. Something is amiss with the latest version of weaponrest. -

ok i thought you were under the impression that i was trying to be a dick... the first thing i noticed is that in large AI count SP missions, the First person bolt action sounds arnt as laggy.. in the previous version, in a firefight with alot of AI, the gun bolt action sounds would lag behind a little bit. not any more!! my download speed is dependent on the site that i am downloading from. -

this and also i noticed missing sounds when walking on certain types of debris piles.. in Vanilla it sounds like your walkin on plastic bottles and paper trash, with JSRS there are no sounds play'd I have been downloading 2.1 for over 5 hours now.... -

Anyone else haveing a strange issue with this updated version... now when running VTS_Weaponrest my game will crash randomly after a mission starts.. in SP or in MP / on a Dedi server. when i removed vts_weponrest and i dont get any more crashing. Ill be looking into it just wanted to ask if anyone else is haveing this issue -

just report his post and move on... I found your "simple mission tout" on youtube to be SUPERB!!! it was very informative and straight forward. Since it was broken down in to sections focusing on specific modules it was easy to go to a specific video if i had a question. If I haven't said it yet this MOD is awesome and I haven't stopped using it since its release. -

i have to ask and make sure you saw DAS Attourny's post about SetParticleParams... the new script command that sets particle params on the fly.. does it help in development?, IE noT having to relaunch the game every time you make a change to the settings?? -

i am pretty sure i mentioned that i have already got this working for the F-18 and it works perfectly. I literally just copy and pasted the Buzzard config and renamed it to the f-18... i haven't seen any problems with anything in game. just my $0.02. -

this mod is awesome and has enormous potential! tyl3r99, In reguards to the larger explosions. Most living beings are made of a large amount of fluid. These bodies of fluid and bone, do not catch air and fly when a ultra fast and ultra strong shock wave pass over them. They SPLAT. Thanks OS for posting this up. I just played a quickie where in: I was sourrounded. In a building in Sofia (NE sector of Altis). I had just ran in after taking cover from enemy fire. Opfor was close, Within 5-10m. They were stacked up and about to breech(not exaggerating). A blackfoot places a few well placed rounds around the building... it was very loud and intense for about 5-8 seconds. Everything quieted down. I waited and looked outside, and all i saw were guns laying around. no bodies. just guns.. about 6 of them. :) Epic. -

the jets sounds are looped in a very obvious fashion i agree that its kinda awkward. LJ, i just had a quick question about stance changes sounds. I remember back in alpha and beta days that there was a sound played when you changed stances. any plans on adding that to your mod? it just seems kinda dry (if that makes sense) when i change pos and no movement sounds.. Anyway that is all i can think of to ask right now.. Other then that as usual this is the best sound mod out their.. Thanks again for your work.. -

the fact that you came in with this comment makes me very happy that you are retired... maybe when he downloaded it WAS a different version. or maybe he did make a mistake...... get off your high horse... people makes mistakes( i should know i make them all the time some would argue that this post is "me making a mistake")... again im glad your retired.. Yes someone reported my post. lolz.. A post that calls out a retired moderator for being Rude and Spiteful out of sheer frustration, very unprofessional... Yokhanan, yea its to bad Foxhound felt it appropriate to slam someone over a simple mistake, in public... Or i wouldn't have felt the need to comment on his inappropriate behavior, in public... this was a perfectly timed question. thanks for the answer Terox. I always ran my server from my pc. my group just recently got another Dedi from a different provider. I was almost sure you didn't have to actually load the whole mod (IE: client side only mods) to the server. i was having problems joining just a few minutes ago, but then i remembered that, some of the mods like blastcore had had recent patches to their keys and sigs. I didn't have them. -
just a heads up im pretty sure @compassfix is obsolete, (it was made in the alpha stage of the game). they re-sized the watch and compass a long time ago. there much bigger by default. And if am again, not mistaken, the mod makes them the same size they are by default. just a heads up again one less mod to run. happy times

played alot with bcombat last night.. then i ran it on our server... i know its designated SP but it seems to work just fine on a server... as far as i can tell!! AI were using smoke, grenades. their movement was well uncannally. everyone of my team wanted to sent you praise for your work!! most of the missions i test this with doesnt have respawn or revive, so i didnt notice the respawn issue. however, most of my missions have AT units and everytime they come incontact with armor or a enemy Vic of any kind they expend all their rockets trying to disable / destroy it. I did see an instance of the "combat roll" getting stuck.. IE: AI did a roll to dodge fire and this time instead of rolling he stayed in the same spot just spinning.. It has only been visible ONCE. everyother time they roll to the side like their suppose to .. I know i read somewhere in a nother mods thread that they were having trouble getting the AI to use their scripted animations. It was zorilya, he was working on a garrison script that would allow the AI to strafe left or right (inside a building at a window) to be able to target an enemy from inside and not shoot the wall but shoot threw the window.. he was having the same problem. AI would play the animation but would be stuck in the same position. It wouldnt happen all the time, but enought to warrent making a feedback tracker post about it let me see if i can find the post.... -
