Will take a look at that thanks Kremator. we tend to be at 200-300 ai normally but we get 50fps and 45cps at those numbers. we panic if the server gets to 25fps as we find that too laggy to play. Server = i7 4770, 32 GB of RAM, and 2x 320 GB SSDs in a RAID-0 config. O yer got the mission running on 2HCs today so now HC1 runs AO AI and HC2 runs Dynamic AI Makes the ASM look cool but now we need an ASM with more instances :) -

@Meatball We are doing our first tests with the HC using ArmA3server.exe for both the Server and the HC. We run both Server and HC on High priority with affinity splitting the cores, 1234 for server, 5678 for HC. In our test mission we split the AI 2/3rds on HC and 1/3rd on Server to a max of 450 total. The HC runs the dynamically created AI and the server runs the Static amount AO AI. We do see a performance increase in the servers fps and cps. But... we see more red chains when the AI are created on the HC as the players move about the map, than we did without the HC. Its hard to say atm because the last stable update has caused a lot of desync in general for us and the vehicle lag is a joke. We are now thinking of putting the Static amount AO AI onto the HC and use the server for Dynamic AI As it seems to cause too many red chains creating and removing AI on the HC. Am I correct in thinking that when using a headless client its the HCs profile which governs the difficulty settings and therefore the AI skill settings and not the servers profile ? -

Just some info for the Headless clients. We have found that its best to use both :- headlessClients[]={127.0.0.1}; and localClient[]={127.0.0.1}; In the server.cfg if you're using the same box for headless and server as we are. When we only used headlessClients[]={127.0.0.1}; The bandwidth given the HC was insufficient and resulted in very crappy and weird AI behaviour. Hope this helps someone (if it did... We get those drop outs on our dedi box aswell But we are not using perf just stable -

Every time I launch Arma3 I have to set my clouds onto High then back down to Standard to remove the smeared clouds. Here is an small example video http://www.twitch.tv/bl1p/c/5628305 Any suggestions ? that do not involve running on high as default, because it happens on high too :)

Just to confirm. I don't see a conspiracy, you misunderstood. I was simply stating that if a post was made which is not factual matt would have replied or that he hasn't seen it yet. If you think I see a conspiracy you are wrong, maybe its because you see a conspiracy rather than myself? Also if you find this post tiresome and fucking annoying blacklist and ignore it, rather than trying to Flame war in it. If on the other hand, you Flamed the post in an attempt to get this post bumped and seen by more people... Bravo my friend and well done you succeeded :)

Any chance you could have a look at the removal of the squad leader icons when in certain vehicles. This happens in the little bird even when on Elite and in some other vehicles. I think there are 3 layers to the Icon :- 1. The move chevron. 2. The SL icon. 3. The distance to numbers. We play with a mission script which removes the Shift-Click waypoint marker and with no map markers or player hexagons, so this SL icon is bloody annoying. I found this in my folders I think this removed the Chevron and the SL icons but left the distance numbers, it might help you in someway ? class CfgInGameUI { class Cursor { select = "#(argb,1,1,1)color(0,0,0,0)"; leader = "#(argb,1,1,1)color(0,0,0,0)"; }; };

Oh so now they start asking for permissions :) Might as well say yes Ice because they will just ignore you and use it anyway if you say no. And there is nothing you can do about it as far as I can tell from this thread.

This is why :- If you quickly move your mouse left or right while crouched healing, looking for an enemy or something. You will teleport but the medic system has your feet planted so it breaks the healing process. here are some videos to show you NSFW (too funny). Yer thats the same BS thats said about gamma and brightness yet we all know players who play PvP night missions and turn up the Gamma and brightness to make it like daytime. A zoom slider you say cool idea :)

A better solution would be to take the offenders to court. Although I can see how a modder cannot afford to take legal action, especially on thieves like A3L once BIS has allowed them to make and keep the proceeds of the illegally earned cash. I know I don't have the resources A3L has now, because BIS hasn't yet followed up on the theft. I am surprised Steam cannot do anything about this though.

Force Settings server side for all clients helicopter DLC

How does one Force the settings on the server so that all clients must use the server settings for the DLC fight model and all settings related to that. From our small tests it seems the client can turn off the settings which the server has turned on and visa versa -

You are mistaking Co-op for Mil-Sim. The Mil-Sim community does not solely play Co-op. A good example of a well known "Mil-Sim" group who play PvP as well as Co-op would be ShakTac. Myself as a "Mil-Sim-O-nian" (Hoorah a new word, eat your heart out Stephen Fry), I prefer Co-op now because I do not like to use exploits within the game to win anymore. Playing PvP involves far too much exploiting of the engine in general. 5 or so years playing CRCTI in CTITC for ofp has given me enough experience with the engine to say that using exploits in PvP is consider the norm. Most dont even realise they are exploiting. Im that anal about it now, that I wont play in 3rd or on 3rd enabled servers, even if its coop. Anyway I digress... Give us a blacklist feature for the Browser BIS ! -

I dont mean to be a neigh sayer egg but how will this change anything ? A3L blatantly ignored the licences and IP rights of the original content creators. How would a new licence make things any different ? Not trolling just wondering how a different licence would stop a bunch of thieves like A3L ?
