  1. Please don't gut Zeus. I understand a mission makers desire to control the outcome based on their intent... but there is also the inevitable problem that only a digitally divine intervention can resolve. ArmA has its foibles and Zeus makes for the perfect solution at those times when the code comes crashing down.
  2. Compositions?... unless I am misunderstanding your point, those are easy and just require some creativity, time and effort on the part of anyone willing to place objects. I am sure that if you made a list of your general requirements that the community would deluge you with them. Throw some requirements out and let us see how we can help you.

    I am all for all of the ArmA III assets being released to the public for free.... ... as soon as ArmA IV comes out. The level of free content is already staggering when you consider CUP content.

    We've run into an annoyance.... objectives that involve the recovery of a map or GPS can very often have the guy carrying it be in a different postal code. Go to the area as indicated by the mission mark, kill a bunch of AI, search them all...nothing. Then peek around in Zeus and find some clown all alone 600 meters away hiding in a tree lined ditch. Can anything be done to keep the "target" at least somewhat close to the objective?

    Same.... spawn... boom. Two jets simultaneously explode. ACE in use.

    Put them on smiley mode for the waypoint type? I think that is "careless" and they will just go from A to B.

    Any advice on resolving this, Still have the issue. Probably on my end but I have no idea what I have done wrong setup wise (just using the default mission, ace and cba).

    Are CBA settings static and will persist through mission changes or server restarts or can those events muck things up? We had no radio issues for weeks and now they are all wonky... preset channels are not working.

    @Nichols Negative. Never have made missions with human opposition, at least when using TFAR.

    Yes but without success. My pre configured frequencies don't work when I have more than one squad. I wish that somebody in the know would make some basic missions with various radio net configurations for us to use as a template.

    I'm confused and frustrated so go easy on me.... compositions. All I want to do is use compositions that I have created in game using Ares-Achilles in the Ed3n editor. Is this even possible (aside from using an []execvm "<saved data>.sqf" approach)?

    @GardenPT... Are you using split squads or one super squad and Dynamic groups to split off? I gave up on split squads and made my missions all one group and all my issues with TFAR went away. Channel assignments are still made to SW and LW radios so there is no keying things in. This is the ONLY way I have ever gotten TFAR to work without issue, period.
  18. While we are on 3den... so I want to set characteristics using the ace attributes option and make some medics and engineers be more effective. Problem is the changes I make to the player slots seem to get all jacked up (its like clicking OK means jumble up all the setting I just made for this guy) and I am left with just using the assign medic and assign engineer modules. Help!!! What am I doing wrong?
  19. As long as you place no additional ace modules, I don't think there is that much to remove... maybe one line. I have to verify this thought but I don't recall it being that bad.

    @woods... Is the channel made or are you expecting it to move you to a channel that does not exist? It will only move you to the channel specified by TFAR configuration if the channel has been created on the TS3 server you are on.

    Thanks Senseii... I am all but certain it's me because not many other people have chimed in. If it is just me, wondering if any body can advise about how to configure TFAR within CBA. At least that is my suspicion, that my CBA settings and DCG are not playing nicely.
  22. No, he's right... there were missions where you had to pick up a cargo box with a HEMTT, deliver it so some location and put up a radio tower (action on the box). The box was usually located on one of the return points.

  24. I'd advise just waiting patiently for PO4. PO3 has been passed up by many changes in the game.
