I just lost my entire project when I used the A3 addon builder, after I tried to binarise through BinPBO, which wouldn't let me save to my normal desktop when I don't binarise, to say I'm fucking gutted is an understatement, months of work, and textures still in raw format gone.. I had no problems making unbinarised pbo's with the A2 BinPBO, I won't be using the A3 addon again, that's for sure. -
There's Molle backpacks there too, and you can fill the with all sorts of stuff. I believe Hawaiian is working on getting permission to port the original assault pack/camel backs from Dave Gary's A2 Rangers, but really these are more aesthetic than practical, making them carry dozens of magazines and smoke etc is just unrealistic, after you put your 2 litre bladder inside, there's not really much more room and to be honest, IIRC the one from Dave's A2 Rangers looks pretty much like the BIS Assault pack as it is.

Class action against Eotech? Yeah I have a feeling that most Tier 1's will have stopped using them, as well as several LE Agencies, personally I loved their sights, still got my 552 and it's going strong after 12 years. And the ones in ARMA are cracking little numbers too, although I've been favouring the aim-point micro cc with a x3 lately :D

I just placed all the groups into EDEN, and no errors came up, this addon uses a very specific script to generate the gear placement on the characters, it randomises everything, so you might not get the same load out every time. it chooses the gear randomly for you. That's why you wont be able to make custom load outs as they're already customised, and the sqf is hard coded to the character config, so as soon as you generate a load out in VA, as soon as the game launches, it generates another. I hope that makes sense? Siege-A can explain it better.

That model error might be tied into the weapons, if it was one of the character models the game would crash, or the player would not show/be suck into the ground. If you have DEV build and EDEN, you will be able to see all the soldier models, I get this error too but forgot to pass it on during testing, it's never crashed my editor/game .. Ineptaphid ? comments mate?

Ran out of likes for today but spot on.. the Osprey plates were allegedly supposed to stop a .50 Cal, I'd like to see you get up and carry on like you fell of your bike after getting hit with that fucker!!! It's impossible to put realistic blunt force trauma in the game, and people would only complain anyway saying it's not realistic, or it's too realistic. It's just a game, the only thing that can ever truly represent combat is combat itself, and that's no fucking game.

I challenge anyone who's willing to be shot in the chest from 10M' with a handgun from 9mm up to .44 magnum, wearing SAPI plates with video proof of them doing it, to question the armour rating in ARMA 3 as not being realistic :D The armour values are showing in the Dev Branch of the game, the vests are showing about 6/8th's with Ballistic Protection on mine, and in the VA they will take 3-5 5.56mm rounds from 10-20M on both front and back of the vests.

Seriously you want to re texture these "perfect uniforms" because of the flag, but you completely miss the point of the whole mod in that is the US 75th Ranger Regiment addon ? You're going to do it without his, or anyone else's permission anyway if it's for a private mod, personally seeing as some of my textures are in there, and you quite clearly didn't read the licence terms, I'll say sorry but no, and hope that you'll respect that wish. I actually find it quite cheeky that you praise the mod, and then ask to change it. But that's just me.

That's the thing mate, it all depends on a lot of different things in the game, time of day, ambient light, realism mods like "real light", ACE, you name it, they all play their little bits in graphical enhancement. Then throw in all the different monitor resolutions, Graphics cards settings, Screen brightness, Gamma settings etc, again they all show everything up in a different light. Screenshots being saved within photo shop, where the RGB/colour palette's settings again are different from screen to screen, person to person. Personally I think the balance is just right with the vest colour, but as per all of the above, it's working well for me. ;) It's been an honour and a privilege to have assisted in this mod, my part was more motivational, the real hard work was done by Hawaiian himself. So a huge round of applause for him.

Yep, same here, considering they had women in A2 and A2OA and it's a bit of a joke trying to be politically correct with women/children in the game, as the youngish Eastern European women were supposed to represent "Hookers" that's not exactly PC is it? :D But so far it's looking good, and another eagerly anticipated addon in the works -

seriously ? how fast do you want the 3d editor to reload? I could see your point if it was taking 3 -4 minutes, but literally it takes what? 20-40 seconds to reopen? and that's a show stopper for some of you? does 30-40 seconds have all that much of an impact on your scripting stuff? Sounds more like me at first, it's a change in the way things were done, and nobody likes change, once their in a routine. If you're on a low spec machine, yes the 3D editor kind of blows chunks, so is it worth upgrading to Apex and getting Tanhoa? I hated the 3D editor at first, but now it's good fun, you can see things in perspective now, in the real world (figure of speech) -

actually I believe you can, because it's a model, it has its own config, and if you add selections to that model.cfg, and to the model itself you can use hidden selections to show/hide them. For example you have a strobe light, and a contour camera attached, just names these camo1 and camo2 in the models selection, add the camo1 and camo2 to the model,cfg file, and make sure the path to the textures is correct. Helmets are no different from uniforms, in that you can create subsections, same with vests as well. -

pretty sure that ARMA 3 was featured in a recent paper where someone scripted ISIS mass executions?? the media will always blame games for some arsehole if society whos been a bad boy.. Flight Sim FX was blamed for training the 9/11 terrorist, GTA for car jacking etc.. it's just the world we live in ;) -
some good progress today with bug squashing, most of the major issues have been addressed hats off to Hawaiian and Siege-A for their efforts in trying to pin down as many bugs as they could, 4 different testers in 4 different time zones isn't easy to coordinate. The units look awesome in the game, I'll put my neck on the line here and say that I personally feel this is going to be the premier unit addon for 2016.
