Campaign Episode 3: WIN - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **
BobbyDylan replied to Wiki's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Disappointing end campaign. It seems pretty clear to be it was a "good enough" mindset to get this over and done with. -
It is really short in comparison. I feel a bit cheesed actually.
-
I thought these were future versions of guns (Based on the guns), not meant to be the guns themselves. So any inaccuracy can be waved off, as we're not comparing the same thing.

What do the commands do?
BobbyDylan replied to Sneakson's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Turn in/Out is an armoured ability, essentially sitting in the tank, looking through a small periscope, or with you head outside the tank. Use action... is this a Hotkey for whatever icon comes up on screen (middle mouse button). So instead of using the mouse button and acidentally scrolling the wheel, you press the button that's mapped to this function.... I'd think. -
Yeah, but if I walked into your place of work, and shot the dude sitting next to you, I'd expect you'd at least look up from your desk.

I got a dual core, 3.2ghz 4GB ram, and at ATI 4870 x2. Is the CPU a problem? Does the Arma engin make use of multiple cores? I got so annoyed with it, after running through almost the whole game I thought to myself "wow, this went downhill". But the exact same system never gave me any problems in Arma2. Ok, I've clean installed, but do I need to change anything?
-
Is it just me, or are Taki soldiers retarded? I mean, through the whole SP campaign (all 25 minutes of it) I don't think they did shit. In the "resuce the captives from the palace" / "destroy the scud launchers" mission, the AI ran around for a bit, would lie down, randomly and then get shot. They just stood/lay there while I waltzed through and mowed them all down. (And BTW, what the fuck are the hostigaes doing on the roof, sight seeing?) At one point I rounded a corner to find 2 Taki's aiming there weapons in the other direction. I got a fright before I remebered, "oh yeah, they all blined and deaf". So I shot one. His buddy does nothing. Not even moving! As an OPF: CWC fan from release, I'm disapointed with this latest version. I though even Arma2 was better.

Bwhahahahah!!!! Gary? -
You know, with all the rage over at the Codemasters Forum, BIS should release some details for OA. It's bring scores of folks over. I good general takes advantage of your oppositions weakness. And we should get some screenies too.

Evidense of Console version of ArmA II?
BobbyDylan replied to walker's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I rekcon AO will come out later in the year, if this year at all. Maybe November, December, In time fro chritmass. But not October, it's too close to OPF DR. Pity though, cos AO looks pretty slick. Maybe if they include other nations in the game right off the bat, it might attract more attention... -

I got high hopes. If it's more mission based and less script based it should be fine. The communtiy has done some pretty damn good missions already. Given the new local... I'm quite optermistic. If OPFDR disapoints (which it looks like it will) this might get my next pre-order.:bounce3: -
Wow... long thread.
