That was THE BEST Comanche mission I ever played. You are the first one who truly based a mission on the true qualities on this Reconnaissance Attack Helicopter and I salute you for that. It was the first time I was required to keep my missile bay closed, fly low, plan my approach according to the contour and the enemy radar coverage, slip in and slip out undetected. Good job! And a big thank you!

If the jungle vegetation doesn't make you slower when moving through it, it should at least produce more sound. Only a small amount of the vegetation has this whoosh sound when moving through it.

That is not entirely true and misses the complexity of BIS mission making. The East Wind campaign demonstrates that some mission makers in BIS are capable of making high quality missions. The campaign varies between crap missions and missions that are worthy of the OFP/Arma legacy. The "Survive" part is bad, doesn't make the slight sense, its missions lack imagination and depth and doesn't take enough advantage of the strengths of Arma. However, some missions in "Adapt" were truly gems. Apparently, most of the memorable missions were made by Jezuro (Bingo Fuel, Exit Strategy, Supply Network and Air Superiority). This is just speculation, but maybe there are different forces within BIS that struggle to influence the game in different ways. Apex is a result of the dark side taking upper hand like when the fatigue system was removed :) In any case, BIS, if he's still around, please promote Jezuro to supreme commander of your missions department.

Please also add an option to view a list of posts your friends made, we had that option on the previous forums. What's the point in having friends if you can't follow their posts? -
Oh yeah? So your mortars fire signaling flares? Does that sound even logical to you? This is just a poor excuse for something you guys can fix in a second in a config tweak. Even if it were true that ALL flares in Arma 3 were designed to be signaling flares (it's not) we have very little gameplay need for that. Think of all the cool scenarios that can use illumination rounds that are now gone because of this. If this is by design after all, please have a designer look at it and issue a small design change that will make a lot of users happy. Seriously, false excuses like that just makes me sad.

[SP/COOP 05] PURPLE NIGHT (Stealth mission)
Variable replied to nanomien's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Great mission! Very moody and engaging. Loved sneaking through the town. Looking forward to more missions from you (...?) :) -
There you go. Links are for different times in the same video: Nose up City lights Glare on turn Strafing

Kimi thanks for the update. Do you have plans to address the glare that interfere with reading the HUD when using night vision?
-
Aha! I didn't know that. Thanks Azza.

Can anyone confirm yelling/whispering/normal selection has no noticeable effect over your voice volume? I can't notice any on local talk.
-
I suppose a lot of that is explained by people leaving the game running at night. Otherwise these amounts do not compute with the Alpha release date.

1856 hours of hardcore no-respawn coop only (and some SP).
-
That's exactly the point. BIS alienated their core players and got nothing in return. Bad move. Traitorous move.

And the black dudes are grey.

Moon phases are not synced with real life - discussion and solutions

Stars still work though. Note that in Tanoa they are different since it's on the Southern Hemisphere. -

Variable replied to lev's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Well, already published missions are getting broken all over the place due to multiple changes BIS did, like night lighting, bad link to static objects, the burst issue and more. I don't see a reason why this issue should be different. With enough notice, people can tweak their existing scenarios. Night missions probably need to anyway given the horrific night lighting that was introduced in Apex. -
[SP/COOP] Chesty Puller (CUP) port from Arma2
Variable replied to bardosy's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Bardosy, please please replace UPSMON with a different script. It chokes dedicated servers (maybe even hosted games), there are lots of alternatives out there. We will be happy to advise if necessary. -
Does medic even have any point in this campaign or is it just there since its part of the Battlefield role structure?
-
I share OMAC's concerns. My only hope is BIS (or at least parts of it), although not admitting to it publicly, seeing APEX protocol as... not a success.
-
Well, since these are the most shining missions in the entire campaign, that only reaffirms that Jezuro is our hero, especially in the sad days of BIS releasing missions in the level of the ones in Apex Protocols. I guess he has nothing to do with that...
-
BIS , please take the guy who made this mission and put him in charge of future missions.
-
Good job BIS for your new strategy to attract new players! Looks like it's working.

It doesn't seem like the voice volume setting (ctrl+tab to switch between whisper, regular and yelling) have any effect. Latest version.
