Hey whiztler, we tried playing Dragonfly last night. On our way to "'Seol" point an enemy chopper took us out. I don't think that was intentional? There was literally nothing we could have done to counter that. Also, it seems like it's not possible to land on Seol due to the rocks covering the shoreline.

Just played it (version 5). Very nice! Thanks for this mission Rejenorst. The enemy is lethal and I had to try multiple times. One thing I'd changed was the target building. The HVT was just sitting there when no one around him. Was that on purpose? It looks a bit unrealistic. I'd expect some point guards and some furniture around him.

I tested that a bit yesterday and I'm glad to say that it worked! I had an AI AT gunner that targeted by my command an Ifrit that was partially concealed by a container. I ordered the AI to "Engage" while he was on hold fire. He moved right to open the angle and announced "ready to fire" once he had a lock. Nice!

I have a feeling that speed is the key there. Move fast and the tempest will take less damage (not that it's logical). I definitely detonated more than 3 mines on my attempt but then again, it was a while back so the armor or damage values were changed.

The Rejenorst is back!!!!! Guys, for those of you who are not familiar with him, Rejenorst is one of the best mission makers the RV engine ever knew. His work on the games since Arma 1 was amazing and his voice acting skills takes his missions to an all new levels of immersion. DON'T miss his work! Damn, I'd go far even to recommend installing Arma 1 again just so you could play his PERFECT campaign - The Cause.

Thanks Shipbreaker, I should play this mission again... I really enjoyed it although I took a pretty straightforward approach. I grabbed a tempest transport from the dome (I think) and rescued the NATO guys, then I went directly to the FIA guys in the swamp, ignoring the mines, the tempest can take the damage and keep going. Then I just went to the nearest base on the coast and took the chopper and escaped.

Never. Seems to me like an illogical thing to say. What I do wish is for is a way to order the AI to target an enemy unit, while under hold fire, and order him to Engage (or any other future command). I would expect that the AI would then move towards the enemy until he can see and use his weapon against that particular unit, and stop, confirming with "ready to fire". With the lack of such a possibility, the player-commander must manually order the AI to move to a specific position to target the enemy, and that's a bit gruelling. Of course, "hold fire, target [enemy] unit" is extremely useful on ambushes or setting up for an attack on an unaware enemy, but that's a different matter.

If a guy that is outside of the game joins the TaskForceRadio channel he hears all teams talking, I guess that's a bug and he should hear only the dead guys? In any case, it would be better if it will be like that.

You can copy the steam subscription PBO and place it in your missions folder and avoid that.

That's one hell of a great mission SPhoenix! For experienced teams only and for pilots that can insert and extract from/to hot LZ while sling loading ;)

Confirmed - Darter UAV battery power allows a much longer flight time now. More than an hour long. That's perfect now! Good job BIS.

We use TPWCAS on a dedicated server along with bCombat and it works great. We did a short test with ACE and there wasn't any visible issues.
