    1.60 visuals are a step back.

    We have stopped the work, not canceled, because it makes no fun to work on a horrible-looking map. We all hope for a solution !! Silola
  2. Sorry, but we have stopped the work @Taunus. Since the last (visual) update ... Taunus looks terrible. The whole color harmony is gone. Also, all the nice looking shadow areas are not available anymore. So many hours of work destroyed within a minute :( Below some pics in order to see the difference atm... The whole Taunus team hopes for a simple solution. Of course there are some realy nice parts within the (visual) update ... so for example the water and cloud rendering now looks amazing, but we are a bit disapointed about the terrain and object visualisation.   5. As the error message says ... I think @inidbi is missing or not (correct) loaded. Make sure @inidbi contains the "xCam" folder with all the needed files. ... and deactivate BattlEye ;) Silola
  6. That's "normal" with the newest version, because with the old version it was sometimes a bit laggy if u move a window. And yes, BE is now blocking inidbi. So simply deactivate BE as long as u are working with X-Cam.
  7. Please do not download X-Cam from "playwithsix", because the data structure is broken. Try Armaholic or X-Cam website (Version 1.21). Silola
  8. Hi Auss, no plans so far for this part of X-Cam, cause it's very time intensive to script the whole unit & vehicle part. Sorry. Another reason is ... Eden is perfect in case of this, but it's only my opinion. Silola

  15. It looks like inidbi is missing. Please check "Addons" folder within @inidbi ... maybe inidbi.pbo is not installed correctly. Silola
  16. You have checked the xCam folder within @inidbi\db ??? Both mod folders loaded / activated ?? No other reason possible for this error message. Silola
  17. Hi, I've also tried the new dev version and I'm a bit dissapointed about the color space and the shadow intensity :( If u have a closer look at the following screens, you will see what I mean (the fist pic shows the dev version) ... Silola
  18. Yes ...I've tried, but I'm a bit dissapointed with the current Dev version. The whole color space (and also the shadow intensity), is very different against the current Arma version, as u can see in the following pictures (the first one is Dev version). And also my current X-Cam Dev version is not running anymore ... don't know why :( Silola

  21. Okay ... thanks for the hint. We've deleted 4.2 mio objects and now we try to create Taunus with forests that do not look like a forest, but the map will be playable for more than 200 players :D Sorry, but no chance, because we don't like maps like this and we never said that we want to create a MP map for more than 120 players. But as I said erarlier, additionally I'll try to create a "low density" version of Taunus, in order to get a better performance overall. But first we have to complet the HD version of course. Silola Edit: that's exactly my point of view :)
  22. No, with this VD u will get about 30 FPS@Taunus, but u know ... it's relativ ;-)
  23. That's absolutly right. The performance is highly depending on the viewdistance, espacially if the map contains so many objects as Taunus. Airfield(s) not ready yet. Silola
