Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
mr_centipede replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
That's why not every tom dick and harry can be a sniper. You need skill. and more than that, you need patience. Besides, sniper aren't supposed to snipe anyway. They are for recon. Shoot only when necessary, then displace. And when they displace, they didn't sprint... they calmly withdraw, crawling away.- 1935 replies

in game I can walk kilometers without incurring fatigue... are you sure you're 'walking' and not running (not sprinting)? Because by default the character ingame moves in running speed, you press shift to walk.... so I think the fatigue level is quite accurate.... Just be glad currently you can recover fatigue really fast. Just stay still...

Why are the rebels still in control of the crash site? Why the Malaysian investigation team hasn't been allowed to examine the crash site? Malaysia is as neutral as anyone can get in this conflict... of course, I'm sure the US will try to influence Malaysian government to side with the west and condemn Russia/putin. For me, Russia could do the same, let the Malaysian team access to the site... why waste time? They've been in Ukraine since Saturday.

I think the sway in current dev branch is quite spot on... while prone it's still hard to hit targets that's more than 200m away... below that, the sway is negligible enough you don't have to use the Hold Breath button and you can rapid fire at the target. More than 200m, hold breath really needed and loads of patience. And here comes the problem, lack of suppression or the sense of preserving one life in the AI mind makes it really unforgiving and sometimes downright frustration. For example: I fired enormous amount of lead into the target direction and landed/fly around him very closely that a human player would probably try to displace or in turn pour more lead into my direction (not aimed shots). But the AI calmly fired an aimed shots, though most of the time missed but eventually will find its mark... playing with bCombat really helps alot

Politicians are opportunistic. They saw an opportunity and grabbed it, no more no less. Doesn't mean they planned it. Do you really thing some thing like this can be planned and executed in moments notice without any evidence that points back at them (Ukrainian). Off course the separatist also didn't plan for this to happened also. It was a mistake. But right now what need to happen is the separatist must hand over the crash site to the international investigation team

Basically pro-Russian did shot down MH17 nothing else matters. It probably didn't happen if Russia didn't sponsor crimea cessation from Ukraine. It probably didn't happen if the cease fire was extended longer. Any of those didn't matter. Pro-Russian rebels shot down MH17. It didn't matter if the SAM supplied from Russia or stolen from Ukraine.

A mistake... a tragic one at that

I'm still hoping for a better High Command or something of that nature that enable me to control a platoon of AI more efficiently and more immersive as a platoon commander. Now, for this boot camp update, I really like the fatigue though I admit AI need to be taught that they need to manage their stamina. But they need to be taught not so well or they became too efficient in preserving their stamina that it would make the players assume the AI are not affected by fatigue... I don't have any points/ideas to bring to the debate, just that stamina is essential and bring a new dimension to the game.

I think this no longer works after reloading a mission. Can anyone else confirms?
-
Are you playing with mod? like tpw suppression or some other player suppression system? I just tested myself, with mod ASR_AI and bCombat and CBA and st_staminabar. I don't experience any fatigue increase when under fire

I think the stamina penalty is ok (the slowing down character part) but the swaying penalty is kinda over the top... but overall I like the change... though I do agree with this kind of sway, weapon rest mechanic is needed. And the AI, with stamina penalty in place, the AI need to have new routine to manage their group stamina.... or is that up to mission maker? Like setting their speed LIMITED in the editor?

How to assemble crew served weapon via script?
mr_centipede posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Let's say I have a group of AIs that carry the weapon bag and the tripod bag, how can I script them to assemble the weapon via script/trigger/waypoint? I am not the leader of the weapon group. -

Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
mr_centipede replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Then your scope stabilizes and you assume you're in full stamina again and sprint for next cover to find you can only cover about 20m before getting fatigue again... Instead usual distance of maybe 100m. Because you wrongly assume that when your scope stabilize = full stamina. It probably meant your fatigue level just reached a threshold between weapon to start swaying and weapon stable. I think that's what Bouben trying to explain... because IRL, you would know when you're tired, just caught your breath but cant run yet, and fully recovered... (mental power aside)- 1935 replies

NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz WEAPONS for A3

I think it's explained here --> http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?179308-Weapon-sounds-affected-by-suppressors-change-in-1-23 -
Personally I don't like it because it's annoying. I'm using a headphone so it's twice the annoyance... just my 2cents

I'm not sure if you know or not, but the woodland and desert camo is actually marine's MARPAT and desert MARPAT, which means, they're not ARMY... but then again, it's just a minor thing.
