    theres a much easier way, grab fot_cara.p3d from the BIS sample pack, then grab the textures from CUP and away u go (open up fot)cara to see the path for the textures then u can remap them to use in your own PBO, use Xcam to place them down. Pic below shows how I've used them to make carparks

    setup a forest ??

    This looks suspiciously like BIS have broken it with a previous binarize update.
  5. As far as a server is concerned you should always manually update the map and/or addons.

  7. Setup a server running xcam then simply have u and your mates join it, then create xcam projects and away u go. Once done send your mission to the island maker and thats it,
  8. the cool thing about xcam is that you can have ppl helping you in realtime, you could have 2-3 ppl build a city with you watching and helping as you can all work on the one server. It does take a little coordinating but its great fun :)
  9. tbh i havent used eden to place and import objects, mainly as its a BIS tool and we all know how pathetic their toolsets are. Try using xcam to do all your object work its much better in my opinon
  10. good idea, xcam has a similar feature where you can add objects based on the surface texture you choose.

    the import extention is irrelevent .asc or .xyz the point was to use the l3dt tools to do your smoothing and shaping
  12. never use the BIS binarize product, its complete and utter crap. use pboproject. It took a 10 hour island binarize down to 15 mins
  13. What eh chaser said is correct, simply move the bottom slider to set your pivot point you'll see a white vertical line this is your pivot point.
  14. The island doesn't need CUP anymore, simply run @australia on its own, If you want to run other islands plus CUP make sure you load australia first then load your other mods.
  15. FYI 40960 x 40960 is not 61km2 its 1600Km2

    put your heightmap in L3dt using xyz format, then use the buldozer or avalanch tool to shape the riverbanks

  18. Looking stunning as ever gents, one thing, the ground texture in the kids park is way to big, that needs to be reduced in size
  19. Pboproject won't like that class default in your model.cfg if that's what you using to binarize,
  20. i have worldId = 1 and it lists australia after altis but b4 tanoa
  21. you can have many textures, I have over 30 in australia. The rule is never exceed 6 colors per cell. if you do then it goes all manky, thats the technical term, my point in saying above 4 colors and nothing else was simply to emphasize that you must not blur the mask, if you have 4 colors in your mask and layers.cfg then 4 it is and no more. he must learn to to walk before he can run
  22. dont use black 0,0,0 for rocks choose another color, also looks like you have a blur around the yellow, it must only be 4 those 4 colors nothing else.
