My Unit badge hasn't been working properly (in game) for weeks-months now too. Seems to be on and off randomly. I get 'Arma 3 data acquisition failed' (see Gyazo link pic) at Launcher and no unit info available at all. I've tried to Verify Files of course, but no luck. https://gyazo.com/9b00c87162e3bc18fc1f0970709d1613 Unit does not appear in Editor for me or any servers, when failed. Any ideas to rectify would be welcomed..

Arma 3: Community wishes & ideas- NO DISCUSSION
Primaate replied to Maio's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
BIS you have destroyed this game with last update. Players are voting with their feet. After initial 'spike' in player numbers due to curiosity, your latest update changes have stripped KOTH servers of players because of your failure to address the existing glitches and incredibly producing a whole new batch of them for good measure. After 13 months of 100% Arma (I have played nothing else in that time and have rebuilt/improved/spent $5000 on my PC just accommodate it), I'm out. Broken broken game.... -
#1.68 Update JETS PHYSICS Change for the worse

Reading and Comprehension is so highly undervalued now; plz read and comprehend correctly because your interpretation is way off wrt intro,1), 2) and 4) Without going into the semantics of this- 1) Shorter landing distance means 'beginners' can land Neos easier --> no skill required --> bad for Arma (in my humble opinion) 2) Incomprehensible logic... 3) Correct, well done. 4) Incomprehensible logic... 5) Of the 20+ Neo pilots (AU and US KotH) I fly with, all hate the changes and hence my concern initiated this thread and we just into 2nd week since #1.68, so lets see what transpires in time. As for my conditional self- deprecation, your contextual response makes you the fool. (those English lessons didn't really stick eh?) IF however you'd like to 'discuss' this further, I'm in SE Qld and happy to meet you for a 'face to face', mate. ; )- 20 replies

#1.68 Update JETS PHYSICS Change for the worse
Primaate replied to Primaate's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
It's this simple: a) Neos landing distance has been shortened from 265m (my best) to perhaps 200m now AND the landing gear is a lot tougher --> noobs love it now b) Neos takeoff distance has been extended to over 450m (from 350m), effectively eliminating Feres and Abdera (also one other super secret spot I could go.. ) , in effect making the Neo weaker and more vulnerable..--> so noobs can defeat it now. Prior to this change, it was a badge of honour to fly/land and fight in a Neo, now it's a sad joke. IF this alteration is a view to things coming, then I'm guessing BIS is cha$ing the noob teen market, which will result in many veterans abandoning the fundamentally broken engine of ARMA and its new annoying noob base of players. Golden rule of market placement, is knowing who your market actually is, for the long term. IF however this is a physics aberration due to the 64bit update and soon fixed... I'll stop my whinging : )- 20 replies

#1.68 Update JETS PHYSICS Change for the worse

#1.68 Update JET PHYSICS Change for the worse WHY OH WHY have the physics for Neophrons (and other fixed-wing) changed??? Is it a glitch or unforeseen physics effects from 64bit upgrade? Please say it is so..... The landing distances are ridiculously easy now but worse still, the takeoff is 450m (up from 350m) and thus--> Feres and Abdera strips are now gone as options for the Neos. (it took me hundreds of hrs to perfect Abdera): BIS if you want to disillusion/lose your most ardent and loyal subscribers, just keep changing the way the game. We love and play Arma for the challenge, complexity and realism that it offers not the typical easy and simple formats that the 'other games' offer. [COD/CS/BF et all are for plug and play 10yo] PLEASE FIX/REVERSE THESE LAST AIRCRAFT CHANGES!- 20 replies

64-bit Executables Feedback

#1.68 64Bit has improved overall stability in fps for me -7700k(4.8GHz) 16GB DDR4 @ 2.2GHz(actual) and GTX1060 6GB BUT.... omg WHY OH WHY have the physics for Neophrons (and other fix-wing) changed??? The landing distances are ridiculously easy now but worse still, the takeoff is 450m (up from 350m) and thus--> Feres and Abdera strips are now gone as options for the Neos. (it took me hundreds of hrs to perfect Abdera): BIS if you want to disillusion/loose your most ardent and loyal subscribers, just keep 'noobifying' the skills required and rape your veterans in search of that, at best fleeting pre-teenager noob market. PLEASE REVERSE THESE LAST AIRCRAFT CHANGES!! -
Time for a bigger SSD maybe..... and maybe consider a M.2 SSD (PCIe interface, from your MoBo. Its 4x faster than a SSD via SATA) $450USD gets you 500GB. You can in the meantime combine different drives to 1 large one using 'Macrium Reflect' software. I'm not sure about a combination of SSD and HDD however, you'll need to check that.

Jets - Sensor overhaul (Radars, IRs, Lazors, PGMs)
Primaate replied to oukej's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
What I'm excited about and believe in Arma long-term most of all is, eventually we 'may' have these attributes developed for the community. What other fps 'game' can offer anything like this! Keep up the good work BIS : )- 955 replies

Yes I do ASOR MilSim group too. KotH is good to hone other skills and 'mix it up'.- 955 replies

YES! Autopilot (so we can go for a piss while in flight : ) and a choice of multiple 'Waypoints' (Red/Blue/Green etc) to help identify airfields. Also in KotH, real time shading of spawn areas to help us identify boundries.- 955 replies

An idea would be to - Associate radar signals commensurate with the real world attributes of vehicles e.g (This is all related to KotH gaming) 1. A 'Little Bird' flying at 5m through trees and terrain should be essentially, invisible to a Jet 5kms away, and same for a Quad bike/Car etc 2. The 'Blackfoot' inspired by the Boeing–Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche have a radar cross-section (RCS) which is less than that of a Hellfire missile; WHY (oh god why) then are they so easy to 'see', lock and kill by jets, AA, Manpads etc? Please address that and the Jet rape of spawns would disappear. Additionally with respect to KotH spawn areas, if a vehicle is 'invulnerable' perhaps make it invisible/unlockable too? It's so easy to 'lock and wait' choppers/AA/tanks etc while still in spawn then obliterate them once out of spawn area. (For full disclosure I jet and play within the rules and spirit of the game but, .... points are points.) We need Autopilot (so we can go for a piss while in flight : ) and a choice of multiple 'Waypoints' (Red/Blue/Green etc) to help identify airfields etc. Also in KotH, real time shading of spawn areas to help us identify boundries. Spawn camping in Jets is usually because we don't know boundries as we fly toward them, and looking on map and using the one and only waypoint is difficult. We all love ARMA (I just discovered gaming in 2016 and A3 last April, at 47 years of age : ) and its possibilities are huge, keep up the awesome job BISTUDIO. P.s. If you're into Jets/Neos, and like the challenge of landing them, check out this vid on Youtube --> (ARMA3 Neophron ALTIS ABDERA Landing and TakeOff ) Can anyone else do this consistently? My best on Editor now is 8x in a row without damage.- 955 replies
