Ground ripple?

When playing on maps like Duala or Utes where there are areas with little to know vegetation ive noticed that about 2-3 metres ahead of me i can see the ground texture rippling constantly at this distance and is getting quite annoying. I'm just wondering if anyone else gets this and if so can you get rid of it?

Yeah, I've got this before. I sometimes just Alt-Tab, and it gets rid of it.

I think he mean the parallax artifacts but could be wrong? Anyway it's greatly improved in latest beta versions.

[68694] Reduced parallax map artifacts on sloped terrain.

it happens to me almost everywhere. It's more noticeable when going up slopes. The ground warps something awful. It's like short range tripping.

Heh, I read the tittle and was thinking ohh AO is going to get some cool concusive wave effects on large explosions.

Yes i get it also, pretty much up down slopes... maybe its something to do with PP because when i have that on i get the whole screen going wavy/watery effect, i always thought it had something to do with the movement of grass trees?

That's actually a feature that adds a blur effect when you're tired; and it is part of PP effects.

As for the ground 'warping' that's also part of the engine that increases details at that point (paralax mapping). It seems to be most noticeable when grass is turned off

Why don't they just switch to DX 11 and use tesselation, just dreamin. :p
