Make sure you're not running the @okt_noblur, it needs to be rebuilt to suit this beta.

Make sure beta is placed both before the beta\arma2.exe and as a -mod=beta in your target line in the shortcut.

It would be (or not) funny at least ...

Haven't had the time to test yet, but windows reports same bytecount...

lets hope they aren't testing the obvious :p

Of course bytesize by itself does not say anything.

For me it seems pretty similar to the last one, but no crashes so far :)

Maybe even slightly smoother?

Though the vegetation is still a frame killer.

How do i "ROLL BACK" to previous beta patch?

For fear of double posting:

The game will not even start without the beta, without mods, ...

simply crashes with same error message:

"Shader not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)"

I'm asking before i resort to reinstalling the whole game from scratch.

(hope ya'll feeling my pain)

You delete the beta folder and install the older version.

Dwarden :D

Anyway new beta patch [didnt tried the 69782 & 69645] seems to run a bit better, and I'm especially happy for killing that shiny-road-in-the-fog bug. Plus less LOD switching.

But then again... gimme back the apache!

(the lack of apache & no changelog actually made me think it was kind of a joke or just such an experiment giving us the old beta)

That's a bug with the uninstaller, JonPL. If you hadn't used the uninstaller, you'd still have the Apache. Only way to fix it is reinstall the game, unfortunately. Next time, just delete the beta folder and install the new one. That will avoid this problem. Sorry.

BIS - please fix this. It's getting kind of ridiculous that you can't change the uninstaller to not delete the Apache...

Ok, this is weird. Just installed the beta and now every time I click in the editor, it thinks that I'm holding down the left mouse button. I can't place any units because of it. When I click, the cursor changes to the 4 green arrows as it would if I was trying to select multiple things, but I'm not holding down the button.

Edit: What the? I just tried going back to 1.05.63826 and the issue is there too. I haven't changed anything...

Strange; seems like a mouse problem.

Thanks for the answer Zipper. Imagine me:

Will I miss something if I obey AH-64 and EW files from my friend? Because my DVD is like... 500 km away...

Do the beta 'patches' change the main Arma2.exe in any way?

i deleted the beta folder all together, in an attempt to go back to a time when life was grand, BUT even with the folder deleted i'm still getting this error on startup, then a CTD:

"Shader not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)"

I guess that means my Arma2.exe is damaged beyond repair ?

(sigh)

No the beta does not affect the original content... UNLESS you have run the beta uninstaller!
