Has anyone read the manual that came with ofp? I can't remember if it was the m113 or BMP but it mentioned that the men inside could add their own firepower to that of the vehicle by shooting out the provided slots. Funny they should give you the background then undermine themselves totally by not including it in the game.

I'm just saying that it wuld have been cool to be able to use your gun in vehicles that have windows and stuff. Imagine sitting in the back of a chinook and launching LAWs at shilkas( or buses for that matter).

To me it looks like a whole bunch of male crims were dumped on Everon and Malden to fend for themselves by a government that couldn't be buggered locking them up...either that or they are island resorts for people with 'alternative sexualities'...

Yep that was the BMP they're talking about...I think though that they're describing it as it is in real life, as they tell you when it was introduced etc. I don't think the manual's description of the vehicles (or at least the BMP) is describing exactly how it's going to be in the game

I think it would be cool to be able to fire from vehicles, you could snipe from helicopters, and actually use those firing positions in the sides of BMPS. Tanks could also have machine guns mounted on top. oh how cool that would be.

HAHA ! I totally remember riding that exact same bus model when I was growing up in Czechoslovakia. This is sooo eerie.

I remember the driver had this long stick shift, which he had to move in maze-like patterns. I can imagine it had at least 10 gears or so.

BTW, I don't think there are hundreds of civilians in towns and on the roads when armed conflict breaks out. I think they either hide in their basement or flee the island.

You would have to sit behind your computers for a few years to see the population age visibly.

I wish there was a fire from vehicle option with your rifle (well, from apprpiate vehicles anyway, like an open doored chopper or open top jeep).

You could use the firing slots provided in the M2A2 Bradley (did I mention this is my favourite AFV? ).

I guess it would just be too hard to implement in the current engine, oh well, we can dream...

What really grinds on me is that they mention in the manual that soldiers could shoot out the side of the (M113/BMP I forgot which one). Now I lay awake at night imagining how happy I would be if this were implemented in the Resistance addon.
