Wth ?? -Amazing update to battleye - chat in serverconsole - couldnt believe my eyes

Best suprise in a long time - thx a million now able to find out whats going on at server.

From console:

Today none of my team could get onto our server. I opened up RCon and tried to join and noticed right away that I didn't have a GUID. I was then kicked by Battleye for not having a GUID as was everyone on my server.

What's the cause of this? I had to turn BE off to allow folks to get on the server.

I'm having the same problem on two servers running ArmA 2. One is linux, other is windows. It just started today after the BE update apparently. I've tried manually updating the beserver.dll, beserver.so, and beclient.dll but no luck. Everyone, including myself, gets kicked for Invalid GUID or something. Of course, turning off BE solves this problem but that's not really a permanent solution for me.

On a sidenote, the MD5 sum I'm getting for the beserver.so from http://www.battleye.com/download.html is not matching what is on that web page...

Tylenol the same here. Md5sum that we've got

4848af91b47bb75a8eaed786562a096c beserver.so

And people are getting kicked left and right, with Invalid Guid. It appears to be happening to people who are running beta, but not to all of them.

Yes that is the same MD5 checksum I have for my beserver.so . We are not running beta on either of our servers.

Yes I am running ArmA 2 servers (ArmA 2 free compatible, non OA). Thanks for responding so quickly $able =) Let me know if you need any more information.

The fix has just been released. Keep in mind that unfortunately you have to manually update your BE Server version for ArmA 2 from http://www.battleye.com/download.html.

Again, I'm really sorry that this happened. If there are still any problems, please let me know immediately.

Problem with cyrillic nicknames after BE update. They can't connect to servers.

I have replaced the beserver.so on our Linux-A2 server as sugested. But some people still get kicked.

And he is not the only one.

Funny thing is the system removed the ' í ' from his name:

Sys log.:

18:49:15 Player Zel69 kicked off by BattlEye: Bad Player Name

18:49:15 Player Zel69 disconnected.

Real info (should have been):

18:49:15 Player Zelí69 kicked off by BattlEye: Bad Player Name

18:49:15 Player Zelí69 disconnected.

there was/is a problem with arma. if players have chars that are outside the ascii range. some of the chars becomes invisible to players. meaning. ie. if i where to use a nick only haveing €€€€. my name would be blank for other. i guess this is a fix for that. so rename your player to Zeli69.

edit.: see able is working on it :p

but this it the best bug i ever seen :D

Seems so but after the update, that said it was successful it crached the server during the restart of BE. Now all seems fine lets now wait for a player with a weird symbol in his name.:bounce3:

I'm not sure if it auto-updated, but you can use the "version" command in RCon to check.

Either its just me, or only Lobby & GLOBAL channels are broadcasted to BERCon on a Arrowhead server

BTW, would it be possible, that we could see the chat messages in the RCON tool in different colors?

yes and no..

global and lobby gets broadcasted to server all the time.

but for side chat to get broadcasted and logged . players on your side is needed.

vehicle chat only gets broadcasted and logged if players are in your vehicle. so on..

Problem fixed.

The server didn't automatically update because no player could join.

Manually updating beserver.so solved it.
