Is it just me or is scale model of tanks in opf

Recommended Posts

i was on my way home when i crossed this M-60 tank, the it was freaking huge, when i saw it, i remember that i in the game, when compared to a soldier in opf, the tanks arent that big, but in real life, the m60 is bigger than average size  house, the treads and iron wheels alone would probaly had to been at least 6ft in height not including the rest of it and the length of it was proabley around 23 ft long at most, and finally the length of the main gun was a estamate of 12ft and maybe at least 1 1/2 foot in diameter. and if a m60 was that big than you can only imagine how big a abrams would be

any way it just seems like the tanks are soo small in OPF

Yes, the tanks are scaled down a bit in OFP. However, the M60 actually has a higher profile than the Abrams, so that the abrams is lower to the ground. It is wider and heavier though.

I didn't get the angle quite the same, but as you can see, OFP doesn't appear to be much off, if any.

Yeah, I also have the impression that OFPs tanks are correct size.

Maybe it's because you are very very small in real life? biggrin.gif

Seen a T-80U from real close along with bmp3 and those in the game are almost the real size. But T-80U had smoke grenader launcher on the side of the turret.

It only looks like that cause u can't see in real 3D in OFP

i reckon if u use those 3D glasses it will be sweet

The thing that is looking slightly out of proportion to me are the rifles in OFP, especially M16 and XM177E2- either they are to big or the soldiers wearing them are to small.

I have seen lots of American movies, so I know all about it. Any American house is really, really huge. It has 4 floors, at least, 2 stairs, elevator, kitchen so huge, you need 3 chefs (at least), and usually 1 fat guard doing a patrol every evening. Dogs, what dogs? Oh, a couple Cujo dogs would do just fine wink.gif

lol

(for those who didn´t get it: I was joking)

Probably between 1500-2000 square feet. I pay $315 a month, have three roomates. We have four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Average price of house in my city; about $140,000.

Is a BMP-1 higher than a T-80 in real-life? From a quick search on google I got that the T-80 is 2.20 m high and the BMP-1 only 2.15(or 2.02 dont know that value is more correct)

M16 is almost 1.00 meter long, an average man 1.80. I think the sizes of the guns fit pretty well.

I wanted to become chopper pilot... until I saw that:

Have you ever looked into a full UH-60 Black Hawk?

It's shocking. Those people are sitting closer to each other than cows on a transport to be made meat.

Didn't our BI-programmers have enough pixels or lenght for a proper sized UH-60?

It's a military transport helicopter. It was hardly designed while keeping in mind the comfort and leg room of the soldiers.

You think that is bad? I pay about US$3000/month for a two-bedroom townhouse. sad.gif
