Um...WTF with the Red Army soldier's helmet textures? They have a face imprinted into them on the side. Please don't tell me the Soviet Union made their helmets out of humans and metal.

Is this mod AcE compatible?

Not officially, not yet anyway. Hopefully some time in the future. However, I have had no problems using this with ACE when just spawning soldiers and using the weapons. But of course there will certainly be compatibility problems when creating missions and doing more advanced stuff.

Idk if you would count this as a bug, but some vehicles will spawn with a daylight look to them. What I mean is that they will light up as if the sun was on them. They don't have their lights on, but it's not adjusting to the night so they "glow".

Does anyone else think the submachineguns are way overpowered? An MP-5 usually requires 4-5 rounds to kill, even at close range. But all of the SMG:s included in this mod seems to kill with a single shot.

an mp5 cqb 4-5 rounds? psshhh pushing it, pritty sure that would put someone down for the count with a couple chest placed rounds. Far as i see in the od SubM's seem to do the trick mate :)

If you hit a big artety or the heart maybe, but the 9 mm (especially when using FMJ bullets as the military does) will rarely kill with a single shot.

And MP-5 realism aside, the fact is that the WWII SMG:s are now much more powerful than the MP-5 in the game. Use this excellent shooting range (an awesome training tool) and try it out:

The killing should depend on which section of the body is shot. Got a shot on head or heart, one round is enough to make a fatal killing.

Yes, but I doubt that I always by accident happen to hit something vital with the WWII SMG:s, and always misses it with the MP-5.

It's very consistent, the MP-5 requires a lot more shots to kill someone than the WWII SMG:s.

Thanks for the mod, been waiting a long time for this. Ok so constructive criticism that I will add to:

I really hope those US tanks - Sherman and Pershing, are replaced completely, the model and textures are at best OFP standard and do not live up to the standards of most other vehicles, surely there are ArmA 1 versions to port over? I wouldn't mind tracking people down asking for permissions myself if that is what is needed. The Sherman turret has no collision LOD, or whatever, because rounds go straight through causing no damage. The PanzerSchreck is not calibrated properly, the round flies straight into the ground.

Just very first observations. Congratulations on getting together such an ambitious project. If you guys need anyone to help balancing configs to make a reastic and balanced package i'd be happy to help out.

this static weapon has a driver seat, and slides along the ground when moved. Is this intended?

Nice mod guys, some friends had me playing forgotten hope 2 on bf2 for my wwII fix but now thats going in the bin. I am also happy to say the AEF now has a server up for the mod

At the moment there is only 1 mission for the mod on the server, for that was all i could find. If anyone has missions, please pm them to me and i will upload them.

And please be sensible when loading other mods. The server won't be running ACE2 mod or anything else, so all you really need is @31stWWA2.

One question myself, the AI for some reason are very good at seeing units (A glider 2000 Meters away). Is that a bug?

mmh I see the units with ace, the problem might be on a other addon/mod which Ive installed...

Some people keep reporting that Panzerschreck/Panzerfaust/Bazooka and VilWW2 units don't work... which is strange as I have no problems what-so-ever using them.

Maybe you guys run 31stN with other mods?

Well I have been doing all of my testing with ACE so i'll try without to see if the AT works. Where can I find the Bazooka? In fact most of the ammo crates are invisible in game for me so I cannot access anything beyond simple small arms and a broken PanzerSchreck. I also noticed as someone else did that many of the textures and maps havent been done properly, or inconsistently across the board, so some of the tanks look washed out and without any kind of shadow/highlights. Looking forward to trying some US tanks that arent ugly as sin too.

If you test with "all compatibility ends" mod (ace) how can you tell where the fault is?

If you look at how many people have contributed in this mod giving their models, you might find the reason why they are not always styled the same way. Or if you mean the fact some are textured and some are not, I think it has been mentioned many times this is not complete.

I know some of my models do not have textures or material files (lack of rvmat cause washed out feeling) (e.g. Catalina, dukw) simply because I had too much work and too little time. I never ment them to be published that way, but they will be completed.

The mod is not running with CBA i think have grafik bugs,shadow problems etc.and the other mods WarFX and GL4 is without CBA not playable...:(

I would suggest that you focus on a specific time/battle instead of throwing too many (obsolete, bugged) things all together. Take your time to make the map/island real good incl. make buildings/trenches etc "AI friendly". There is no reason to rush & release a addon/mod if its not properly tested. Haste makes waste. ;)

Compared to what? maybe the textures could be a little higher res and detailed but that is something you only notice when you are standing on top of them.

I think T Roc has done an awesome job on the tanks, I think the models are excellent.

Are you sure you are not using the very early beta Sherman that was in the ArmA1 mod? that is also included in this ArmA2 version.
