Uncle Imshi 10 Posted February 27, 2010 bloody right popa :D trying to big up info on a possible crane version i read on before , not much to go on P.S anyone willing to donate their skills ;) drop me a PM That's because we never ordered one. The additional per unit cost of fitting a recovery arm was around €1m at the time of our original PIIIH purchase so the Army made do with a couple of winch equipped fitters vehicles. There are a number of softskin vehicles equipped with a recovery crane or wrecker arm in service but nothing under armour unless we have the cab armour kits for the Scania 8x8s
slatts 1978 Posted February 27, 2010 (edited) cheers imshi :) just give an unarmed one to ability to repair @warden thats up to rat ;) Edited February 27, 2010 by Slatts
slatts 1978 Posted March 6, 2010 thanks to the malvinas mod we have an AML-90 now im sure some irish lads are going, "huh? theyre used by reserves now" well the main reason is the 90mm cannon and since the closest is a scorpion at 76 you cant say they wouldnt be re-deployed if we needed a big hitter ;)
Aeneas2020 10 Posted March 13, 2010 @ The Blink and Christian....the aug weapons...they have no support weapon in them which means currently the support class in my new models has no weapon...what would you like me to add as a placeholder?

slatts 1978 Posted March 14, 2010 another WIP of my own notice how the ammo box has been removed ;) afaik we use belts over boxes also in works for an updated weapon pack is a USP 9mm(this isnt at screen shot stage yet :) )
mr. bravo 17 Posted March 16, 2010 Looks very good guys! :D I've been working on that damn "240" all week as well. Still thinking of what to do about that ridiculously large ammo-box though. It will be interesting to see what you come up with! And in case you havent done anything about it yet, the shells drop from below the weapon, not flying out from the side as BIS made it. We managed to fix that on ours, and it's a really nice touch to it, eventhough they kinda fly through the right hand that is holding the weapon atm :p Just a tip! Anything new on the RG32 vehicle btw? :)
slatts 1978 Posted March 17, 2010 happy ST Patricks day :D @Mr Bravo yea i noticed that when i checked the ammo links, easy fix i think nothing on the RG32, sent a PM but no reply

Uncle Imshi 10 Posted March 18, 2010 I hate to say it. But to me they just don't look like Irish Soldiers of any stripe.

slatts 1978 Posted March 18, 2010 I hate to say it. But to me they just don't look like Irish Soldiers of any stripe. tbh i see where you come from mate but looky here http://fileserver.4pm.ie/Upload/62/62566-qKI.jpg the body armour is as correct as possible without changing the model, all that is missing really is the vest. stalkerGB made a vest for us but i havnt got the time or know-how to make a soldier with it it will be used in the future, but for now these are correct
Daniel 0 Posted March 18, 2010 Personally, I think it's the helmet that really makes a unit. Seeing as the texture work and weapons are spot on, i'd say that's your main bottleneck.
Aeneas2020 10 Posted March 18, 2010 They use a pasgt/spectra style helmet...the same type in the vid. Perhaps you are thinking of the helmet they wore up until a few years ago that looked like the brit mk6.
Daniel 0 Posted March 18, 2010 That's exactly what i'm thinking, my bad.

The normals for the helmet are still WIP at the moment and the shape is not 100% correct but seeing as I have had some pms from people telling me im an idiot i thought i would address it here. Oddly enough none of the people addressing complaints my way have been irish or have much knowledge of the IDF at all. (daniel not getting at you mate sorry to post below you with my rant). Either way that is that.

If it is Imshi that i know (which i think it is) he is not only Irish but is also an Officer in the IDF reserve (And an Inusrance Commando - this is inside joke). I would appreciate any refs though :) the ones for the helmet are hard to come by. :) In fact refs are hard to come by for these guys in general.
slatts 1978 Posted March 18, 2010 i think maybe it was that imshi anyway the helmets, we have a 95% similer helmet to the ones used in arma, there a little lip at the front, ours does not have this @aeneas, if anyone complains anymore tell them to come to me ;) @Daniel, yes we used the british helmet a few years back, it is still used by reserves but being phased out @imshi, you may be a little confused seeing us make kit that is brand new,(dont think im calling you stupid, i know what you say) but thats what i want. Hence the Modern in the title @All, like i said to aeneas, contact me if you feel in anyway that stuff is wrong or we are being "idiots". First do your homework and if you still feel we are wrong, i have no problem with a mannerly talk. But call us idiots or throw in a few f**ks without proper knowledge. Dont expect a reply.
