CW001 10 Posted November 27, 2009 Not to mention that every single unit in the game is so well equipped that they even have ACOG sights for their ballpoint pens. The game just hypes up war so much in order to make it look "cool" Good point. Also, hee hee!
MehMan 0 Posted November 27, 2009 I read it as ballpoint penis for the first 10 times. Thank you 4chan.

Drew 10 Posted November 28, 2009 The reason this game is getting so much publicity is because its all Hollywood, which is good if you like awesome explosions & the James Bond type secenarios...than the COD series is for you ; now if you want realism... ARMA 2 is your solution, and if you want a bit of both, than join the military and hope for the best :D
Nazul 10 Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) This who CoD:MW2 is made for:Quoted img removed by Mod He's the one who wants to hear oscar mike and footmobiles over and over again. Aeneas2020 10 Posted November 28, 2009 you know what kinda bugs me the most about mw2 is the fact that you can't even sit back and watch the bloody cinematics. Almost all the missions have you following a buddy and whereas in all previous cod games you lead the way in this game he usually does. One of the things i used to like about the previous games was being able to sit back and watch long range fire fights and snap pics of my buddies as they fought. Now everytime i get near a friendly its like i stick a fire cracker up his ass because off he goes running into enemy mg fire blinding moving towards the objective at all times. On one mission i decided to sit back and watch and my squad just took cover behind a wall and did nothing until i got within about 15 feet at which point they jumped over it and stormed a building and completed and objective before i even got through the door. it's almost like they think if you are constantly shooting at something u must be entertained tbh this is the first cod game ive played i found to be a boring, v easy slog through endless waves of baddies. Banderas 0 Posted November 28, 2009 Things I've learned from MW2: -firing from the hip will make your weapon spray around like a trombone-gun. -however while you're transisting to aim down your sights, your weapon becmes laser-precise instantly (smells like Counter Strike anyone?) -by 2016 US troops will still teach Afghan soldiers to the basics of correct weapon handling -Three star US Army generals are commanding their forces from the frontline without body armor and helmet, brandishing silver-toned six-shooters -Stryker weapon operators can't see out of their vehicles, they need the enemy lased so they can engage them -Russian ultranationalist will make terrorist acts in their own country even after they gained controll over the country -Seargants are usually reporting and taking orders directly from/to generals or at least colonels -special forces guys are carrying an infinite amount of door breeching charges with them -firing from the hip will make you spray the whole goddamn place around -however one can fire a full automatic Glock over the windshield of a snowspeeder wich you're driving with about 150km/h with utter precisity -Rangers don't like to babysit Delta Boys and Navy SEALs around, Hoo-ah? -Javelin launchers are using top-attack mode even on aerial targets -when in deep cover in a terrorist cell, you don't try to uncover a planned massacre, but rather take part in it -Russian Army will use Russian made small-arm very scarcely by 2016 but rather FALs, TAR-21s and other Western weapons -Brazilian militiamen has no prblem at putting a bullet in you 95m away from the hip while running and doing capoera tricks on shantytown roofs -However SAS and Delta operators having a great problem hitting targets from behind cover and 15m away there are many more of course, but I live them up to you... By the way I'm no hater of the game, it was a nice 4 hour break from military simulators.
Clavicula_nox4817 0 Posted November 29, 2009 Rangers don't like to babysit Delta Boys and Navy SEALs around, Hoo-ah? Probably the most realistic part ofthe game. 75th really doesn't do that kind of thing anymore. They run their own operations, and it's more likely to see SEALs supporting Rangers than vice versa. itsme 10 Posted November 30, 2009 After playing both games for sometime now, I realized how boring Arma is, MW2 just killed Arma for me, lets hope it changes with AO

Complete and total disregard for any semblance of reality, the ability to take down Helo's via top-down Javelin attack even made my 13 year old cousin shake his head in dissapointment for the lack of attention this game has towards even trying to appear realistic. ...great list, oh and "precisity"? not sure if it exists but an excellent word :) I'm gonna save that one. CW001 10 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) It can get a bit confusing if you're buying it from here: Yyyyup. "Don't be ashamed if all you want is a normal skinny white pen, they get the job done and they are infact our biggest seller! Conversely, there is no reason to be shy about your Pen Island needs. We've done it all. Wrapped in leather, little pink bows, we've even done pens dipped in chocolate!" "Whether you're looking for a long and skinny pen, a thick pen, a fountain pen that squirts ink, or even a black pen, we have just the one for you." Clavicula_nox4817 0 Posted December 1, 2009 I haven't figured out, yet, why the General turns on TF 141. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but I don't remember anything that would point to a reason for killing off "The best handpicked warriors in the world". It's junk, and like most junk (Britney spears, Lady GaMan, teletubbies etc) the mainstream dullards love it and believe it to be the "ultimate" in realism. One of the stupidest stories I have ever come across and as much as I dont expect it to be realistic a la Arma, the blatant disregard for realism is a huge strike against it. Very nice music, I will give it that much but maybe craptivision should spend a little less on Hans Zimmer, Keith David and Lance Henriksen et al and a little more on actually creating a coherent and enjoyable game that lasts more than a half hour hmmmmmmmmmmm? MW was actually pretty decent. MW2 doesn't do much to follow in it's footsteps. Cowa D00ty 4tL Edited December 1, 2009 by BangTail

Clavicula_nox4817 0 Posted December 1, 2009 There was supposed to be evidence linking him to the terrorist attack on the Russian airport. Or something. Oh. You mean, that he had one of his troops infiltrate the group, or that he helped set it up? Still, whatever it was, it was really lame and made my feel like I was watching an M Night Shymallalalalalan movie. "OH LOOK! A PLOT TWIST AHAHAHAHAHA!" Ordered the hit, had you infiltrate, told the guy (Makarov?) about you and had you killed. All so that he, an Army general, could provoke a war and take revenge for the death of the Marines in MW1. All so that he, an Army general, could provoke a war and take revenge for the death of the Marines in MW1. The Army and Marine thing doesn't have to be a hold up. As players, we aren't given the information that the "30,000 men" were all Marines. It could have very easily been a joint force, with him as the Corps commander. Even if they were all Marines, he could have been the commander of an equivalent to CENTCOM or something. Still, it's a lame twist.

SASrecon 0 Posted March 22, 2010 D'you know if PC players will have to pay? This is why you should stick to bohemia interactive, free mods, free patches, free dlc (Beautiful apache and EW campaign  )
soul_assassin 1750 Posted March 22, 2010 I fail to see how rewarding the hard-working people who made this 15$ is too much for something of such quality. A pack of smokes in NY costs 10 dollars. And if BIS would allow payware I am positively certain that mods would not be free.
raizjames 10 Posted March 22, 2010 well from what i got told off a m8 of mine most r from MW1 just a port over wich is nice but havein to pay £15 for tham i don't know may be £7 for tham There are 5 maps, 3 new ones, 2 from COD4 (they improved the graphics/texture in them) So your mate saying most are from Mw1, isnt exactly correct ---------- Post added at 06:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:00 PM ---------- D'you know if PC players will have to pay? This is why you should stick to bohemia interactive, free mods, free patches, free dlc (Beautiful apache and EW campaign  ) I dont know to be honest, Robert Bowling the community manager said he doesnt know if Activision will charge the PC version but if you want my honest opinion, I think they will charge for it, because Activision is a money hungry corp, if they dont, I would be surprised ---------- Post added at 06:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:04 PM ---------- I fail to see how rewarding the hard-working people who made this 15$ is too much for something of such quality.
