The beta patch is installed parallel to your normal patched game.

You can choose to play your current 1.03 version of the game ... or ... the beta 1.03 version.

The beta install will not affect your normal install.

technically as it is beta it is not 1.04 so yes it is updating to a newer 1.03 otherwise there would be no online servers to play on.

"mouse smoothing" option is a dead giveaway that it is different.....

I find it great that I can run both parallel to compare, well done BIS it is the best way forward.

I did a clean install to patch to 1.03 as patching from old install of 1.02 did not work well for me.

Ok i had the wrong one.

Is it correct that this patch install very fast ?

It says 100% in about 1 or 2 seconds and the progres bar is full, but the pages (icon) keeps going ?

That link points to the old beta build 58814. The newer one is 58834, you should see it at the top of the beta-builds page.

Also, be aware that the Arma2 links on your desktop will still point to the old 1.03 version of Arma2, not the new beta version. The beta version has to be launched separately. Look at the readme for more info.

And? you have to set the -mod=beta in the shortcut;

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\beta\arma2.exe" -mod=beta

And you have to set the "Start in" to;

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\"
