  1. sebna

Finaly we have a gpu for arma 2

Can you provide some proof? Because it sounds mega unrealistic :D (unless you r running A2 in 800x600) I got q9550 @ 4ghz 4gb ~1200mhz Ram plus 260 216c oced aswell and with 6k VD i have all on normal + some on low to get my min frame rate at constant 30+ Oh I am at 1680 Cheers
  2. Ok I will make it quick. I7 is newest and greatest at the moment. So in terms of CPU it is best of what you showed so far. But as you suspected the GFX (video card) is crap and nowhere near the power of CPU. Imho if you have enough money buy I7 config with some 275 or 285 GFX and you should be happy. If you are patient type of person buy I7 setup and wait for new GFX family cards (first will be ATI with cards on market in few weeks then will come NV in few months). Also because you do not look like a person who will clock his system aim for best parts you can afford as on those decisions you future gaming depends. And finally little cultural saying in my home country: Those who buy cheap buy twice :) - if you are looking for some reason to justify your big spending ;) Good luck m8 and have fun.
  3. Oh cmon maybe game is a bit problematic but it looks absolutely incredible (not mentioning gameplay) - for me it is best looking game ever and I play games for last 25 years - starting from digger ;) ... and I play all on normal and low - for the first time in my life (normally if I cant play on vhigh I just do not play games couse I seen it all and I am only after fresh and bleeding edge thingis in games which is unfortunately mostly graphics recently). Of course I would love A2 to be maxed out and constant 60fps on my machine but well in 2 years if I will still remember were I keep my DVD to A2 I will come back (no I will not I never did) and play it on max details ... And my spec is q9550 @ 4ghz + 4gb DDR2 1200mhz + Oced 260GTX - it allows my to play A2 mostly on normal + AA and PP on low and ViewDistance 6200m in 35+ fps which is more then ok for this game (ofc 60fps would be better ;)) Cheers
  4. As somebody mentioned before - the awareness of NPC from insane level in 1.02 went to sleep / blind mode in 1.03 - I hope it will be addressed because now I feel like RAMBO - cannot remember when I died recently as trooper and basically I do not need my squad any more - I can do all the job myself as enemy is just standing and waiting to be killed and does not react when I shoot to them from a distance or at best go prone but never ever return fire (when I am at distance). I play mostly SP custom made missions which I download here and last 3 of them I finished with first attempt and 2 of those last 3 I ordered my squad to stay put on insertion point, because they where not needed - I could just do it alone. uhh almost forgot - unbelievable good game, exceptional peace of software, keep up good work guys.
  5. Hi guys, I was playing 1.02 for a while and then 1.03 came out. I noticed big improvement with 1.03 on my rig. After about 3 days of playing with scenarios I decided to give a shot to campaign hoping it will be less buggy then before. In first mission (night one) everything was going fine until I rescued NPC in the village - from the moment the cut scene / dialogue kicked in my fram rate dropped by 3 times to crawl level. Restart of game and system did not help. Scenarios which were playing just perfect (same as campaign before the cut scene) now are bearly playable... so disappointed. It looks like I have to reinstall the game from scratch and forget about the campaign till 1.04. Maybe you can reproduce the problem on your machines. BTW. Great game. Thanks
  6. TBH you could type in those few words like 790gx amd x3 4gb 1066 and gfx of your choice instead of linking link to links... My only advice is not to buy mobo with integrated GFX when you buy dedicated one - no point of spending twice on same thing. GL
  7. And you were not mistaken my friend :). As far as I know there is no HW on the market able to handle 1080p or similar with high details. I have q9550 @ 4ghz 4gb ram plus heavily oced 260gtx 216cores and I play all on normal plus AA on low to get smooth gameplay (in 1680x1050). But I7 are 20% faster then q9xxx at same clock speed and same game parameters. gl
