Picolly 10 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) I (alias zyco) made a Texturemod for Chernarus called LandTex v0.6 . Changes ======= 1. It makes the Landscape textures more organic 2. Coast lines have now more sandy beaches 3. It sets the correct land texture for islands that have only the seafloor texture Picture = http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/b802-8-jpg.html More Infos and Download here http://armed-assault.de/news/sap-clutter--landtex-06.html. MehMan 0 Posted June 24, 2009 One of my biggest problems with the landscape atm, thank you for a fix!
Alex72 1 Posted June 24, 2009 Very good overall. But it seems to me it looks awesome at some point and bit "toyish" at another. Close to the ground looking at your vehicle looks more like the vehicle is really a toy instead before it looked more "real". But then again when going a bit away when ARMA2 textures usually produces these big ugly blobs - it looks much much better. Maybe the addon can be tweaked a bit more? But i have to say its a good step forward in making the ugly places look better. :) Alex
OverDawg 10 Posted June 24, 2009 hey cool, didnt know it was possible now with arma2 to get some texture packs for terrain! Sky's the limit!
Alex72 1 Posted June 24, 2009 I hear that this texture addon plus the lower grass made wonders for some in terms of performance. I know this is not supposed to give any better FPS, and the lower grass addon just slightly, but some mates say their game runs better with it. And ive seen more screens of it - mighty good work. :) Alex

bravo 6 0 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) I am impressed! Can you please share with us what you have done to make the appearance look more "organic" and natural? Maybe it will help a lot of terrain creators to also make their terrains to have a more natural look from the air. Cheers, Good Job! ;) Edit: These are the released photos found in other sites: Edited June 25, 2009 by bravo 6 typo

bravo 6 0 Posted June 25, 2009 err.. what you mean? Did i miss anything or misread something? Isn't this addon just to fix the textures? It does not reduce the clutter grass... right?

What u need is Photoshop and the *.paa Plugin to open the Images. Then Test a bit the different Filters by pickup a Colorrange. For Example, make Green more smooth and after that use a Noisefilter to give them a bit more Face. And here the big ones: http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/b802-b-jpg.html http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/b802-c-jpg.html Edited June 25, 2009 by Picolly

[kh]jman 49 Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) Great addon. Love it :) One problem, your public key does not work :( be nice if you could re-sign the pbo and post a new *.bisign. I'd be happy to test it before release. Thanks. Edited June 26, 2009 by [KH]Jman
Picolly 10 Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) "..your public key does not work .." Realy? Oh no :( . OK, i see what i can do. I think its the v0.2 Key. :-B Edited June 26, 2009 by Picolly
[kh]jman 49 Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) That would explain it! - just post a link to the v0.2 Key - that will fix it for this 0.6 release ;) and in future maybe use the same version *.biprivatekey and *.bikey to sign all your future releases :) Edited June 26, 2009 by [KH]Jman
