Hi All, I too have crash to desk top with arma.exe still runing also arma stops responding alot plus and this is a new one for me in any game, the game goes really side show (low framerates) and freezes then comes back running ok but all buildings are on there sides **?** Iam very disapointed with arma 2 which in my opinion has been released when it doesn't run just like armed assault (i could finally play with 1.6 beta patch) specs are:

asus rampage II,

i7 920 @3.6

6gddr3,

GTX295.

Hope they sort this out and quickley.

can we confirm that this issue only happens on systems running on VISTA and not XP?

it could be VISTA specific issue in this case.

Hello all

I too regularly get a CTD.

It will happen once every few hours. No error messasges, just the usual "arma2 has crashed, do you want to send a report" type thingy.

I sometimes have to kill the process in task manager, but usually i restart and relog back into the server I was on.

This is during MP, not noticed any SP crashes.

Spec below (dont laugh)

XPHome sp3 / 3gb Ram / Nvidia9500 1gb / Dell E520 (2.6duo) / Audigy Platinum Ex 1 / 500gb hdd Segate.

Im using the OLD (1.82 ?) Nvidia drivers as per the other thread.

I get CTDs every half hour or so. It freezes for a few seconds, sound begins to loop, screen goes black, the Windows "Send error report" screen, desktop. And now it's just started doing it every few minutes. Very annoying. I've updated video card, patched it etc

Running Windows XP Pro, AMD Athlon 6000+ x2

Edit: Sound the same as mine orlok

I get a CTD daily. Funny thing is when I get a CTD so does all the other players on the server. We confirm this because we are all in Teamspeak and all say "Oh Crud" at the same time.

I have also seen an audio file perhaps specific to Vista and Windows 7 cause a crash or two.

Xaudio3d.dll I think was the name of it. System32 folder. Maybe just related to Realtek HD Audio .. not sure.

If you enable Hidden files and look to Users\%username%\AppData\Arma2

You will see 2 dmp files and . rpt file ... opent he rpt with notepad and look to the very bottom and TRY to read what caused the error.

Good idea to delete them and the very next time it CTD's, zip those files up and send them to BIS support for analysis. Perhaps a Dev can provide the email address to send them to. They can use these files to find out what the engine is doing just before it crashes.

Hope this helps.
