i preordered from cdwow, plus the official release date over here is 20th of August :( so i might stick with cdwow for another 2-3 days and if they don't send it off im going to cancel my order and try preorder from NWS

Good luck with that. I have no knowledge/experience in ordering games from abroad but I heard bad things about Cdwow in this forum and the IRC channel.

I heard good things about GAME.co.uk and shopto.com, though shopto was apparently hacked a few months ago and people suddenly noticed strange debits in their accounts.

Friend of mine sent me 3 books on Thursday (I bought them from Zavvi but they don't deliver books to Sweden), they arrived today, so that's basically 2 working days plus the weekend, really wish I'd asked him to put in Fight Night Round 4 then I wouldn't be waiting until Thursday :(

Data dvd's for PC are not region protected. You can use it in Canada. :)

I had pre-ordered ArmA2 at EB Games in Fremantle, Western Australia a few weeks ago, and when I did they told me the release date was going to be July 5th.

I just rang them again (out of sheer impatience, you know, if you keep asking them maybe it will come sooner :P) and they told me that the release has been put back to the 20th of July :butbut:

:(:(:( That's over three weeks away!!

The demo will have to do until then.. but in the demo there are no insertable campfires! (empty>objects>fire) Whatever shall I do??? :(

Yeah I purchased ArmA thru the German link originally and wont do that again. I will either wait for a US released or wont play it.And steam for me isn't a release I want a box and disc for my 50 bucks

i am still awaiting confirmation on when the item will be sent. It has been 11 days since the product's release? what is going on? Ive been waiting patiently, but i do not seem to understand why im not being told specifically. It seems that i heard that you guys have'nt ordered enough copies while there were more preorders/sales. I would like to know when your next batch of ArmA 2 arrives for shipping? Could you give me an estimation on when the product should be shipped off, because i really would like to know? I am really disappointed but i am willing to wait a bit longer and holding onto my patience, otherwise ill decide to cancel my order :/

While I'm still waiting for my CD Wow copy to arrive, Arma II is now sitting snugly on my hard drive - courtesy of Steam. Once my boxed version gets here, I'm sending it to one of my mates. At least the waiting is over!

Received my copy from CD Wow yesterday. I haven't played much yet but I like what I see. Lovely graphics, generally more polished than Arma 1 and runs very smoothly though I haven't had any really big battles or city fights to test that properly.

As much as I dont want to (I want to be able to run beta patches), I cancelled my CDWOW order and will be buying off steam tonight.

What are 505 thinking? they will lose a large percentage of their sales in the Oceanic region, due to it being available on steam 2 months before a shop release.

Anyone and everyone in this region that has been waiting for this game will be importing from the UK or buying from steam.

Both are 505 versions, but one is NEARLY DOUBLE the price of the other. And release dates nearly a month apart.

May I suggest you do not use 505 in the future for publishing/distributing, at least outside of Europe? They seem to have royally cocked this one up.

Yep, I have lost all faith in 505, therefore ordered off Steam. As you don''t have that as an option, I feel very sorry for you. I'm really not sure what the best option would be.
