Starting to think this game isn't even going to be released in the U.S. The game isn't listed anywhere, vanishes off Gamestop's list out of nowhere with no explanation, the publisher won't respond to emails. Will we Americans be stuck with Battlefield 3...er..I mean Operation Flashpoint 2?

That may be true, but it doesn't change the fact that everybody's preorder from Gamestop was canceled, and the majority were told that Gamestop wouldn't be carrying the game.

Also, it is true that Got Game Entertainment hasn't responded to any of my e-mails in just under a week now...I know they wouldn't normally respond to a single person, but you'd think they would be pressured to give us a little information, damm*t!!

I've received a few email responses from retailers and one from IDEA Games (they are associated with BIS in some way).

Target - Told me I'd have to go to my local store and ask about the game

Gamestop - Told me the same thing

Newegg - Said they have no information on the product

IDEA Games - Said the release date is still July 7th.

We'll see how things go I guess.

-edit- and just got a call from Best Buy saying "at this time we do not have a contract with the manufacturer to carry that game." Uh ok...

a gameshop here in Israel, they said it may come this week. another shop said there was a delay with the shipments, so that's for sure.

Seriously? Maybe it should have crossed BB's/BIS' mind to GET A D*MN contract already, seeing as the game is supposed to be available in 2 days!!

Well I don't think it's Best Buy's fault, it seems no retailer in the U.S. has even heard of the game. Maybe a failure on Got Game Entertainment's part. BIS should've stuck with Atari for the US release.

Well that's what happened to me, I'm just afraid when I go there I'll be told "oh it looks like we're not selling it, here's your $5 back." If they aren't selling it on their website I doubt they have any copies to sell to people that pre ordered at a store.

Anyone have any news about EB (Electronic Boutique) here in Australia?

My friend went into the EB shop the other day and they told him the game would be coming out on the 7th of July. So he pre-ordered it... today I went into EB (different shop) and pre-ordered the game.

After I had paid the guy told me they would call me on the 20th of August when it arrives.... WHAT?

He then said the game was not coming on the 7th at all... so whats the deal here?

Why are some people playing 2 or 3 weeks ago and we have to wait till the 20th of August? No wonder PC piracy is rife if you cant even buy the game.

Anyway I dont really want the steam version but I'm not waiting till the 20th of August for EB to get their copy.

Anyone in Australia know a retailer which is selling this game?

Well EB are supposed to be getting the game on their shelves on the 16th July... although their website still states the 20th August - dunno

It's quite simple: if the game isn't available tomorrow, BIS and Got Game Entertainment have been deceitful and unreliable. The least they could do is notify the community of the new official release date, or maybe even a list of retail stores that will have it for sure...because lets not forget that Gamestop cancelled all pre-orders about a week ago and claimed they weren't carrying the game. It is also still not on their website.

i would'nt trust any stores at this moment, usually their release dates are unreliable and they end up delaying it most of the time.
