Arma2 Russian trailer music

Recommended Posts

First of all let me clear up that I love the russian faction and will always be playing it in multiplayer (you can right?). Possibly because I am personally Ukrainian and although I reside in the U.S. I have spent my childhood pretty close to the game's setting.

Anyway, I love the first song in the trailer of the russian faction on the official website. I also heard it when installing the ArmA 1 demo. Does anybody know if I can get it, and if so, where?

It's from OFP: Elite. It's one of the new tracks that were added to it from the original. The only way to get hold of it is to get a hold of a copy of OFP:E, or you can open your ArmA DVD and take out the MUCH lower quality version that you hear in the installation of ArmA.

It plays when you install Queens Gambit Arma expansion.

No, it doesn't. No music plays when you install Queen's Gambit. It only plays when you install default ArmA. If you right click on the DVD and select "Explore", you'll find it under "Data" -> "setup.wav". It's very quiet and low quality compared to the one in OFP:E.

Apparently, the soundtrack is part of an Arma2 special edition, or whatever it's called. Dunno if you can get it seperately or where the special edition is available though.

It did with me. Installed QG just two days ago and instantly recognized the trailer tune.

In case you are misunderstanding me, I am talking about the first song in the Russian trailer.

Don't bother.

The installation version in ARMA is really quiet and when amplified distorted.

My friend gave me the CD to try it, so yeah, I have the song but it's fairly bad quality.

Oh well, at least it's better than nothing.

My favourite tune is this one from the CDF video. This was also in the original OFP and I think was the most stirring piece of music I have heard in a game.

Want the ArmA II sound track? Solution:

1.) Open mission editor

2.) Place your blufor self on the map

3.) Create a trigger over your player and have it be activated with "blufor present"

4.) Go to effects, then select the track you want to hear, then hit preview.

5.) Record music with some sort of sound recorder, see windows accessories.

6.) Convert music to whatever you want.

7.) Burn audio files to CD.

8.) Cruise the strip with your hommies blasting ArmA 2 pickin' up all teh ladies.

9.) Take teh ladies home and show off your new quadraphonic stereo with some ArmA 2 tunes. Tell them it's Chech music, they'll think your hip and worldly.
