Shadow NX 1 Posted July 1, 2008 Its planned to bring the RF pack to V.3.00 but so far i lacked talented modellers to do so. As Vilas showed intrest maybe it can be done, but i fear that i plan in too big scale as Vilas has pretty limited time lately.

Kristian 47 Posted July 9, 2008 sorry for digging up topic like this, but I just was wondering, will you model the m249 minimi for the US forces, I know it didnt see much of use in 80's. But it was used by US army till 90's when they changed it to the m249 SAW. so, Will you add it to US forces?
echo1 0 Posted July 9, 2008 They made four different models of SAW/Minimi to cover all angles.
Kristian 47 Posted July 9, 2008 did they post any pics?
manzilla 1 Posted July 9, 2008 Damn, you beat me to it. Krisitian, Check the first page about half way down, vilas' post contains a ton of links for screens.
vilas 477 Posted July 9, 2008 those M249 are already released as P85 mod uses my weapons pack so every weapon can be found in my addons topic since some time
vilas 477 Posted July 9, 2008 Will you made polish T80 and T72? oooooooooooooooooooooo my god, Polish T80 ? and you were "teaching" me how should look my Polish addon and Polish weapons and vests (for example with Beryl fire selectors and safe switch) i am in shock :O
dreday 1 Posted July 9, 2008 Will you made polish T80 and T72? Afaik no T80s were delivered to other WP nations but T-72, yes that will be in. Steven Zaloga has mentioned in one of his books that Poland had accepted the shipment of about half-a-dozen T-80Bs for trials in the mid-eighties. That's about it for the extent of T-80 exports at that time. I agree, certainly no need to include them in the mod. Peace, DreDay
Kristian 47 Posted July 9, 2008 Vilas, The m249 SAW without the picannity rail on top of the ammo-hatch. you have to move the rear siht to te same postion as MINIMI has it
(A.T.R.F.) 0 Posted July 10, 2008 The request to make at all Soviet tanks having ATGM an ammunition, main means of a defeat of enemy armored vehicles with high accuracy remaining outside of a zone of reach, in sense, that ATGM the rocket was first and ready to application, then on termination (ending) the given type of an ammunition, following was charged APFSDS,and then HEAT-FRAG, HEAT.:) So it is more reasonable, and is more real, taking into account that the Soviet tank wedges of that time had no to themselves equal all world, as much know the rate was done(made) on large approach by the large number of tanks, at support the soldier

The tank guns do a fine job of engaging the targets withing 2-3km and you are not very likely to see the engagement ranges beyound that in ArmA... Shadow NX 1 Posted July 11, 2008 Hate to go offtopic, but what happened to Skaven et al? Just read it. -Soviet- 0 Posted July 12, 2008 Hi, Very good work GH, as usual! You should do a special pack to let other MODs use your great weapons... like a weapons pack. By the way, any news about your SA-9 Gaskin? Good day! -Soviet-
GodHammer 0 Posted July 13, 2008 First of all thanks everybody for kind comments. I'm trying to help out many Mods at the same time, lol, I think cooperation is the key My Sams are all on hold but not forgotten, need to finish some models requested, then I'll be back on those babies Soviet, may I ask you a favour? Are you able to find good pics of the GUV-8700 gatling pod? I'd like to add it to my collection, lol Thank you all again, cheers GH.
The_Captain 0 Posted July 13, 2008 I would also like to see tank-fired ATGM's on the soviet tanks. It would help offset their comparatively poor sabot rounds...
-Soviet- 0 Posted July 13, 2008 Hi, Yes, cooperation is the ''key'' according me too. I hope you'll find the time to finish your great SAMs, they look really great! I'll try too find some pics of that GUV-8700 to help you... *EDIT* Website (2 pics) Website (1 pic) Website (2 pics) Very interesting loadout infos: Website On page 13 you'll find front, side and up view of the GUV-8700. About the grenade launcher: Website ... I think that's all I can do... Good day! -Soviet-
gsleighter 0 Posted July 13, 2008 I'd like to vote against ATGMs, for a couple of reasons. 1. You can't properly detect tanks at range. The only tool available is the Arma "Radar," with no thermal imaging or anything else, besides zooming in and scanning. Enemy tanks often get lost in the viewdistance fog. If you've ever run up on a BMP in an Abrams, you've probably been hit by the ATGM before you even know it was there, and then found out that the BMP was just outside your viewdistance. Now imagine platoons of tanks doing that. 2. They're not modeled well at all in Arma, but with NWD's addons, tank ballistics are (relatively well modeled, anyway). I'd rather have guns that work vs guns that work than guns vs a poor representation of ATGM's.
maza94 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Any progress? Any news?
Thunderbird 0 Posted July 18, 2008 The progress goes nicely, several aspects of the MOD are polished on regular basis, but we are actually focused on figuring out all the issues popping out and completing the models selection. A cooperation with the RACS MOD was established in order to help both Projects and the skilled 3D Artist/Coder Vektorbosen lastly joined us and this will undoubtedly bring a lot to the Project'85 MOD.
