dren 0 Posted December 10, 2008 Lampedusa Picture This is as open as open source island can be. All needed files are in to play around in Visitor and learn more about creating islands. Pop open 3DE, place roads trees, you name it. Theres also 2 different Sat mask's, one desert and one normal. I only wish that if you really create something of this, share it here. Thats all what im asking for. Thanks all to those who have created nice Visitor and "how to" guides. dren 0 Posted December 11, 2008 The picture there is the Sat mask, its actual picture of the island from Google Earth. So basically you can place roads/houses by it or redo it in PS and fill it with grass. its all up to you Also what you can do, is create file in 3DE and post it here. So people can use it, or use parts of your ideas. As i sayed, its all up to you Oh, and thanks for all host links! dren 0 Posted December 11, 2008 The airport is offsea. BUT... as the motto goes... DO IT YOURSELF! You can find it from Config file and just change the position coords to place the airport where ever you like. (if someone places it on the actual location, could they post the coords here?) manzilla 1 Posted December 11, 2008 From what I can tell from his posts he has very limited plans for this. It seems he left this open so people can do what they like with it, as long as they share what they've done. That said, I'd say converting it to a more plush landscape will be left to someone with the time and patience to devote to that task. I could be wrong about this but that's kind of the impression I'm left with. I couldn't agree more though. Greener pastures would suit this island well. Let's hope someone is up to the task. Overwrite the Sat and Mask_LCO's with those. the delete the Layers folder in Data folder. and then in visitor, run the "import sat+mask..", and tadaa you have green map.
