Snake, per my post at the top of this thread could you please provide some feedback to my questions? I'd rather not post in the XAM forums. Thanks in advance.

Am i missing something here or does this mod not come with a signed key to put on the server ?

The only key i was able to find was MBG.bikey - that didnt allow this mod on my server.

Stupid question about the FLIR:

I just tried XAM out, and was a little confused by this. When FLIR is on, it adjusts the setaperture command, time, overcast, etc.  It also created a lightsource (simulating heat glow I assume), but only on the player vehicle.

I looked through the scripts, and it would appear it is meant to create such a source on most/all units.  (XAM_Engine\Soldiers\TermicVision\init.sqs called via init extended event handlers for every unit I checked)

Is this the case, and if so, any idea why it is only doing so to the player vehicle for me?  At first I had other mods running, than ran on Arma/QG + XAM.  This was with 1.501

If it was not for heatglow simulation, and only to alter the look from the players view, and hence only applied to the player, please excuse my ignorance. smile_o.gif

Did a quick test, and FWIW:

Units starting do not have this light source. Vehicles spawned via createvehicle/trigger DO have it.

it is advised to play only XAM but the other addons should not pose problems.

Does the mp missions (domination) has Mando Bombs and Mando Air Support Console ?

If not how can i add this to it ?

I will ask again. Is there no signed key for this great mod ?

I would really like to alow this mod on my server, but its not poss without a signed key, or is XAM not really stable in multiplay?

@ Snake... is there any chance you could just make a sound mod as a stand alone ... it would not interfere with mp compatability issues and would be one of the best sound mods around... notworthy.gif

how can i use replacements with Xam 1.5 ?

because my replacements don`t work with xam anymore . i tested it to turn xam off (out off shortcut) and then they work just fine

i want to use joh_ marines and his SF

It's because XAM replaces BIS units with it's own. I tried to to ask Snake a few days after this was released how can I disabled the replacement of his units but he never answered me. He told me to check the XAM Settings file but it's not in there. I asked about a few other things as well and the settings file had the ability to disabled the other stuff but not unit replacements. I really have no clue if it's possible.

Well you could find out the class names of the XAM units and swap those class names for the vanilla BIS names in the replacement files then it may swap XAM units for Jonny's. I'm not sure if that would work though.
