dachevs 1 Posted March 10, 2008 FOR FIRST RELEASE When you Buy a car, if you have any extra money drop it on the floor first, or when you purchase the car it will take the amount of money out for the car plus the same amount out in any other money too. FOR EXAMPLE: If the car is $500 and you have $500 in your pocket as well as $1000, it will remove the $500 plus the $1000, and give you $500 back, but you still lose $500. But If you have to much for the car that is fine---FOR EXAMPLE: If you have $1000 and the car costs $500, when you purchase the car, you will receive $500 back. I can remove this all together, but then you would have to have the exact amount and if you didn't it would say you don't have enough. FOR EXAMPLE: If the car is the $500 object and you had a $1000 object it would say you don't have enough. WHAT WOULD YOU WANT MORE? * AS PROMISED PICTURES (BOTTOM OF PAGE) -UPDATED-!!! * I am working on a new mod. It is an RPG. This is similar to the popular Sahrani Life mod. Though this mod will feature a new money system and many add ons including new weapons and vehicles. The money system uses the new released Roleplay Objects thanks to Al Simmons and Tiger. I have written many scripts for buying cars and licenses, etc. But there are a few problems in which I'm trying to work out. The biggest is when you purchase a vehicle, it unlocks the car and removes the money from you, though if you have no money, it unlocks the car anyway. So everyone would just cheat and get the cars for free. Could anyone help me with finishing this script to make a hint appear if the person has no money in their inventory and NOT unlock the car?? FEATURES: -Car Lot -Walk In Bank -Actual Money, It is in your inventory and you can drop it pick it up and so on. -Jail with Opening cells -Soccer -Cell Phones, as well in your inventory -------------------------- <s>Bank accounts, as of now, the bank accounts are cars. Yes at first this sounds weird, well this is weird lol. But cars actually lock. So each Civilian has his own car (Bank Account) that he can lock/unlock, the other civilians cannot unlock each others account. So when you wish to deposit/withdraw money into your account, you simply unlock it, get in the car and hit G (which will go to Gear). Then you drop the money or take the money you choose, hop out, lock it and your good. This is strange but it will be changed, ONCE I figure out how to Lock Ammo boxes. VictorFarbau 0 Posted March 10, 2008 I guess you'll easily find help with the script in question once you post it for review (in the "MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING" section) explaining what it is supposed to do and how it fails. There's enough brainpower there willing to help. Secondly, you could defer basically anything waiting for Arma2. But who knows when it will really be released. The best city one so far is the shakarif one (I know I spelled it wrong). But if you go the custom way you have the chance to set the "city" up the way you want instead of jamming everything all in one small town and calling it a city. dachevs 1 Posted March 11, 2008 Hmm...ok I will check this out, I've looked for City Islands everywhere but every island someone releases is a road going threw town with 5 buildings. I saw this Sakakaw Al Jawafh or whatever and fell in love for the first time with an island in Arma, but It required Queens Gambit *EDIT* WOW! Sakakaw Al Jawaf looks like a must need, <s>I think I need to flex and download QG. If everyone is willing I can include QG in the mission folder and everything is perfect.</s> Check again soon, new island will probably be set. dachevs 1 Posted March 11, 2008 Well I'm removing the Porsche Police Cars, and using GN's Peugeot's. Im thinking there is a script to add the Siren SFX to the car?? or no? Unless the reason i didn't have a siren is i didn't download the PTJ Black camo, or the siren could be I just have to switch the Car Horn (F) I will look for an alternative island :] @ProPilot Yea I'm making it a Cop/Robbers if you wish to call it that, assuming you are meaning DeathMatch by Dming, sorry i'm slow sometimes. ISLAND For now though, because as expressed in the post, the Sydney Harbor will not be finished for quite awhile. I will use Saltbeach 1.0, it is not as big but quite nice as well. dachevs 1 Posted March 20, 2008 Ok sweet. But yes I have many editor updates and I will personally add in tons of enterable buildings in and mark them if need be. Hopefully they will add this in first though. Looking forward to releasing this! About SWAT---I'm am trying to set up a building at the police base where there is the action to switch to a SWAT unit and I have ballistic shields. I just need to figure out how to successfully make it possible to switch units. I'll post some new screens soon. Gotta little surprise. Check soon. dachevs 1 Posted March 22, 2008 Since I am using a lot of custom content I decided when I ran across a page of PROPER addons, to try and remove any initial lag Arma creates. Sooooo---- Well thanks to the PROPER Team there is a new gear menu and it doesn't lag when you select it like the normal gear does, where it takes 5 or more seconds to open. With this it's instant. dachevs 1 Posted March 22, 2008 I would say maybe 75% or more. I almost finished with Arresting, I have nitro, and I just need to touch up on the buying script. Happy that your looking forward to release as I am too. other than that I think it is done. It is just a matter of if people want to wait for the Sydney Harbor island.
