Lookin' very good indeed, but...argh. It's too bad I didn't notice this earlier:

You need to register an OFPEC TAG! Trust me - it's best you do this (for your mod, or for yourself personally) while it's still some ways from being finished, before everyone has created a million missions with them! By using your own personal tag, you will avoid a lot of issues of overwriting and other nasties that would otherwise plague the community - you're not the only one who'll have the clever idea of naming a soldier "free". sad_o.gif

Basically, each config class entry needs to use your own tag (AGA for instance is still free, or why not PAPO for post-apocalyptic?); it's a bit of editing, but ultimately it will be worth it. This includes custom vehicles, weapons, objects etc (i.e, instead of "free1", it'd be, say "AGA_Free1"). It is extremely easy to register a tag - and then you can use the OFPEC public key system to upload your signed key together with your tag, allowing people to use your addons on servers that require signed addons!

I know it's a bunch of extra work at this stage of the addon-making process, but it truly really honestly is worth it. Especially considering how popular and wide-spread these excellent kickass units will hopefully become - for ArmA and beyond!

Have you considered making some scientists/ doctor type units?

Perhaps wearing their scrubs and lab coats?

Give them the ability to heal like a normal medic unit perhaps.

I think in a  post-apocalypse scenario theese people would be in great demand  smile_o.gif

I'll make sure to look into that as soon as I can

I am going to have to look into the doctor idea some more, the idea is good but there won't be any working hospitals in a post-apocalyptic world, perhaps the New Order would have some sort of lab they could have some bizare looking doctors, on the civilian side there could be some too I just have to figure out how they would look first

Sounds good agamoth, this is remembering me to the old AMIGA-Game "Burntime" where serveral groups of survivors must rule over the map by conquer the villages, get food and fight against each other. Maybe a good story for a new MP-Mission, as an alternative for the Evolution-Missions wink_o.gif

I did some of this stuff to OFP but never released it. Making "War Wags" from normal vehicles can be fun.

I wanted to make some water channels like in half-life2

Does anyone else suffer from this ?

Ignoring the error and hitting preview again will start the map but the units show up horribly distorted with polygons going amok all over the screen.

Tried any possible setup - 1.08, 1.09, 1.11, with QG, without QG, with & without other addons ... it just wont work sad_o.gif

Try loosing the PKW pilots or andy mags or possible other addon...some weird combination between these addons is the problem I think.

I mentioned this in the PKW mercenary thread also..but the PKW pilots are out of my folder and I didnt had the problem again.

I have the PKW pilots in and it still works but this might be the problem, the error suggest there's a problem in the config line that says OFP2_ManSkeleton but I changed that in the configs

Weird. Have no such problems, running 1.11. Then again, there's always some weirdness going on - once the blue-bereted RACS officer reverted to his "the thing" state when I tried d.murphy-man's Quarantine. A restart fixed it though O.o

Might just be a problem in all y'all's shortcuts, no?

Oh: those objects are looking good Agamoth! Would be perfect to have even a retextured South/whole Sahrani with post-apoc buildings and the like...or why not a wholly new map ^^

Hey Mr Burns, I'm not sure what's causing this but there are 3 addons that now cause this error followed by the distortion you speak of. These Freedom Fighters, PKW Pilots and PKW Mercenaries. I have found a solution that works for me which is the absolute FIRST thing you must put on the map is a default BIS soldier, after that these addons should work correctly. However I think this solution sucks and I hope the authors of these addons can find a fix because no other custom content for ArmA causes these errors.
