Yup, some pictures (no need for 'before' pictures, we all know how it looks wink_o.gif), would be appreciated.

Will test aswell when drivers are in, hope performence is the same..as long the fog bug is gone.

Umm I hope this doesn't conflict somehow with BIS's personal fix for the fog.

Yeah, was think aswell, what the point is in relationship with 1.09 fog fix...Guess driver fix is a good alternative untill 1.09 hits the internet.

Well surely an nVidia fix for an nVidia problem is the best solution?

Bah, a waste of time... fog is either the same or actually worse than 163.71 WHQL, just wait for 1.09..

Second time someone does this, not funny anymore.

Altough I can see the prank, just to be sure;

Not sure how current this issue is anymore, but for a long time you had to really uninstall ur previous version and remove profiles and reboot, before installing new versions of drivers to fully take advantage of the new driver.

Not saying that's the case here, but just to share the info :-)

band.gif ...time waster it was indeed. I demande picture proof (no lets make that movie proof) the fog is gone on your machine. Please proof use wrong wink_o.gif.

Like mentioned, not funny anymore.

All hope in BIS 1.09 fogfix again (can't BIS release fogfix for 1.08 help.gif ). Sorry for asking and i know the answer i guess, but this kinda makes you depressed in a small way.

Sickboy: could be right. I also didn't removed profiles etc. But still...

I create a backup image of my comp with Acronis before messing with any drivers or 'updates' for anything so that i can restore the entire drive to the exact way it was before I started. Not imaging your comp before you start can often cause alot of headache and such so before anyone tries...I'd highly recommend...

For this reason alone, and the time and effort in doing so, it would be much easier to see a screenshot or short clip....while I am enthusiastic that it's gone...the pessimist in me says it's not until I see proof.

<span style='color:darkred'>Please post a pic or video clip</span>

agreed. next time i see some news about fog bug fixes, i dont belive it before i see some proof. it IS risking a bit installing beta drivers, it could ruin the gpu itself! like last time i did it, i started to get memory errors, even vorse fog bugs and texture problems ):<

i know it was my own fault, but still. listening to others who "have found a solution" stopped here and now, and forever.

now i will wait for BIS to release their 1,09 patch. with patience.

still foggy...

Either he is trying to be funny or he has stumbled across something I haven't in the settings...

...or his PC configuration is such that it does actually work for him......

Seems to be gambling like Toto with this game, since half of the buyers seems to have all sorts of problems and the rest not.

No one with an 8800 has cured the fog problem, I've heard many people claim they have but never provide any evidence. Please BIS hurry and release 1.09 so we can stop wasting time reading pointless threads from noobs.

Lol,I just come to the forums and what do I see...I don't know about you guys but it <span style='color:red'>WORKED</span> for me!I didn't do anything special.I didn't even uninstall the older drivers, just ran the exe and installed, then rebooted and the fog was gone!I can post you some pics without the fog if you like to show you that this is not a "prank" !

wink_o.gif No need to take it that personally. We (I) didn't want to offend you. I just mean, i and a few by now tested it and non of us noticed a difference. My eyes are playing fun with me as i though to noticed a very small difference, but guess it was an illusion. In the end, there is still fog and not the clear mega VD of +5000 like we know others (non nvidia users) can enjoy of.

Why we take this so non-friendly, well because all of us (8800 users) paid a good amount of money and after all this time.....nothing confused_o.gif .

You don't hear me complain about the performence of the card (best i ever had...maxed out), but this fog issue is simply not acceptable.

But again, PLEASE proof use wrong. I think i can speak for all 8800 users and say this would be the best fix in arma fixes (well sort if :d).

If possible, please provide us with as much as possible info of your settings, hardware etc...Because if you are right, we are all noobs and overlooking something.

<span style='color:darkred'>Yeah it wasn't meant as 'you're lying' it was meant as we (I) "think you may have been mistaken."</span>

The video clip doesn't have to be anything special. Take a camel for a spin even...and just look off in the distance then up to youtube or other place for download.
