What kind of Mouse do you use with Arma

Recommended Posts

Quote[/b] ]Hey Balschoiw interesting mouse design, how does it play?

For me it´s perfect. I already have the second generation of this "trackball" with mouse-features. It´s easy to clean, fast and reliable while using minimal space.

Razer Death Adder!!!! I went from the Razer Diamond back to the Death adder, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 1000x better. The Side buttons at the side of the diamond back were killing me, they sucked and it was meant for both hands, Death Adder has nice smooth side buttons and is meant for a righty

Logitech G1. Cheap and good.

Mine's a bit more dirtier than this, but no matter how hard I scrub my hands or how many times I do it, if I even touch the mouse I get dirt on it.

Mine is black with silver coloured buttons, a wheel thingy and

a wire that comes out the front. I had a rubber ball one once

but its working parts kept getting fouled making me have to

continually field strip and clean it, so I now have a modern,

low maintenance, red flashy one.

I also have a little graphics tablet and stylus that, the next

time I feel masochistic enough to try some addon making, I

intend to try to get working in Oxygen Mk 2. Too much

mousing about sometimes makes my hand hurt.

Another vote for the Copperhead.

running at 2000dpi takes some time to get use to, but wow, anything else seems reall slow now.

Friend of mine has that one, though his hand doesnt fit perfectly on it so the edge slides on the table all the time which gives him a hump of '(Callous? Hard skin?*), which he calls 'the source of my gaming powers!'. biggrin_o.gif

*Interglot.com said that, though the pictures on google look more like some horrible skin disease. crazy_o.gif

I used to have a Razer Copperhead but unfortunately, It died, the mouse buttons would work fine, just when I came to move the mouse itself, nothing happened

That mouse has to be the worst. I paid 34.99 British pounds for that when it first came out, and i hated it right from the start. I don't even use it for windows browsing. Its collecting dust somewhere in the cupboard now. Do yourself a favour and give it away to a charity.

Disagree with Bratty. Ever tried using a cheap screwdriver instead of a good one? or a good Drill as opposed to a cheap one. Please dont say a mouse without dpi is as good as one without. If so you are just been silly.

its the mouse, its not a big deal guys. But important with a good mouse is that it has a good size, not a tiny tiny lap top mouse, that messes up your hands good crazy_o.gif

And keyboard should not be too leight weight either, when i tried a new keyboard that was leightweight it slided off my desk and fell down on the floor rofl.gif that keyboard went into the trash quickly! biggrin_o.gif

I found these mice to be horrible, I bought these then returned them:

Logitech Revolution

G5

G7

Razer Copperhead

I stuck with the MX510/MX518 series because the middle mouse button isn't nearly as hard to push down. And for a game whose emphases is to use that button a lot, it gets quite annoying on your finger.

What`s wrong with the Logitech G7?

I use that mouse, since the first day it was available with growing pleasure.

Never had any trouble with it, works perfect in every game and is worth the amount of ~75€ i paid for it. smile_o.gif

Logitech G5 2nd gen just picked up this week. Got sick of not being able to precisely aim, especially with iron sights. Always would jump way more than I wanted even with just a slight mouse movement. So I would shoot to the right or left of my target. Even with the G5 I have to kick it to highest resolution and I also brought the mouse sensitivity way down in the Arma settings. Now I can aim the way I wanted to and I like how it takes a little time to line up the sights (due to higher res moving cursor slower) sort of like taking careful aim in real life. For snap shots, CQB, etc I leave the Logitech on the middle resolution setting for faster response.
