FlyinBullets 0 Posted July 24, 2007 I have created 2 missions that require these units, they are the first 2 in a bigger set of missions, and are just setting the storyline for much bigger missions to come. First Mission Second Mission Both missions are coop, the first mission supports 3, the other, 5. The first mission is a large armor battle, that sets the storline for the entire campaign. It is located in the dessert that is in the Southern Portion of Sahrani. I realize that since its a mission that involves mostly armoured vehicles that it doesn't implement the new troops much, but it sets the basis for the story. The Second mission is a night mission with an objective of assasinating an enemy officer located within a heavily defended building. Any more detailed parts of the storyline are located within the mission Plans/Notes. Please let me no of any bugs, errors, or any constructive criticism you have for me! manberries 0 Posted July 24, 2007 love this mod especially since i spent time in the urals in a russian military base as a child but i have only one problem with it the ak-74m is standard to nearly all soldiers but some of yours come with the old version, more realistically all soldiers should have the m version but the leader (just like you have it now) should be the only one with the cobra sight, yet in more "out going" squads all soldiers would have cobras and the leader would have a pso (i realize i can simply change the int line for the soldiers to change their weaps but hey its all about realism) and about the rpk might want to rename it to rpk-74 and now a days they use the drum magazine for it only the more simple countries use the long clip i want to thank you for making the older weaps as well thou ie akm but yet about that weapon i know some versions dont have the very crude compensator on them but (all up to you guys) i do think it would look better with it this crude compensator is pretty much the end of the barrel cut at an angle to point the expelled gas upward sorry about all the criticism but only trying to help thanks for the great work and hope you keep the updates coming with all that oil russia's military is going to go through some changes Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The addon that can be found in this thread is required, as in the previous two missions. Mission 3 Edit: A bug where the blackhawks dropping off enemy troops wouldn't leave should be fxied now Mission 3 picks up the story less then 48 hours after Mission 2, and you must rush to the defense of Iguana, the town you originally defended in "Our Last Stand." There are no respawns in this one, and there is a LOT of enemies to deal with. It is a coop mission that supports up to 5. Shadow NX 1 Posted July 24, 2007 Alright, sounds good im going to check these when im home @manberries True about the AK-74M, i was also thinking of giving it to all units but that wouldve been bit boring and as Marines also have the AKS-74 and mostly arent less pampered than the vdv equipment wise i decided they should get the AKS-74. I think for V.2 we swap out the AKS model to a newer one with plastic foregrip and mag in dark plum / brown. Question is just, keep the woodpart ones or just use the newer ones with plastic parts? Skaven 0 Posted July 24, 2007 @manberries I know about the realistic loadouts and indeed they do use AK-74M mostely (with very few scopes if any) but... in terms of fun and playability I think that having the AKS-74 on the Marines and also some AKM makes it a lot more interesting to play with. I mean, if we are going to make this that realistic than this addon will loose lots of quality since like 95% of the weapons ain't used.   I think that is the line that I do not which to cross, which is to make it so real that it won't be fun to play, an entire squad using the same weapon is bad and poor for gameplay. This as always been my standart in making addons, first it must be fun to play and than it must be real, most of you that know me well, know that if I wanted it 100% real I would enlist myself in the army instead of playing a game, but guess what? I don't like killing people and specially not to favour politicians so I play this game and I make it fun to play with  So in my opinion the loadouts stay, since, having all sodiers using the some weapon is something I'm tottaly against with and would make this soldiers loose interest. On a side note: it's funny to mention that like 85% of my family man are officers and I was on a military college from 12 to 18 but at the time I reached the university I had two choices, one being an officer two going to economics to hopefully become a manager of an enterprise, guess what I chose? I realised soon that the fun part of playing a military game is that we have lots of lifes and in the end knowone dies, so I think there is a limit that I must not cross, like for example the extra blood and the heads off the bodys and children with weapons... that's not interesting to play, at least not to me. @FlyinBullets ty my friend, tonight I will play with RobertHammer and tpM on your missions, you give life to our boys Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
