chipper 0 Posted July 16, 2007 I fear civilians the most. I was playing a mission and saw a civilian but then he pulled a pistol out of his ass or something and capped my ass.
Strother 0 Posted July 16, 2007 My top fears, a good ka50 pilot (those things own hardcore if you can use them right) a decent shilka gunner (shilkas can take down abrams in a few hits), and really thats about it oh yeah and in single player I fear the terminator (aka PK gunner). max power 21 Posted July 16, 2007 I fear the bmp the most. It can go anywhere and kill anything... and carry troops while it's doing it. Best all-round machine in the game. It can even out-shoot a tank with its missiles. Playing the long-ball game it should be able to fry any amount of infantry. It's fast and can swim.
Mak 0 Posted July 16, 2007 Not to be obnoxious or sarcastic, but I'm the only one who picked the UAZ and other transport vehicles?? I think these are the most feared especially the UAZ because they get in and get out the quickest out of any vehicle. Not only that, but they are hard to take down since they are a small object that moves quickly. Usually when a UAZ infiltrates a base, the driver and passengers will live if the driver takes proper courses. This is very risky because that UAZ just let 1-3 enemies into your base as your team lets it go unnoticed.
MehMan 0 Posted July 16, 2007 But I fear nothing the way I used to fear the Mi24 back in the days Oh I remember that. Most memorable occasion was in that mission where you had to run away after everon got taken over. Somehow I managed to get that scouting Mi24 onto me and boy was that scary. Just wouldn't go away. Commando84 0 Posted July 16, 2007 i fear all of those weapons n vehicles , but nothing comes to hearing the roar of the t-72, and also the t-72's commander MG that can swat littlebirds from the sky or make anti tank soldiers deadmeat is also feared aswell as its main gun to blast other tanks with and poor hmw's and also that it takes often more than 1 hit to take it out makes it a challenge on the battlefield. Infam0us 10 Posted July 16, 2007 Being hunted by a Ka50 on foot with no AA is the most heartpounding moment I ever had in ArmA
Col.Flanders 0 Posted July 16, 2007 I would've said a T-72, but didn't for two reasons: A T-72, when crewed by ai, never uses HEAT rounds against infantry. If you're "beyond" its MG range, it's a sitting duck. I say "beyond" because it isn't really beyond, it's just that they won't arc the rounds onto troops at range. I really wish they would use HEAT...would make it so much more fearsome. Of course, when crewed by human players, it's a different story. The other reason is that it's just too weak. I often find that one AT round will make the crew bail. OFP's T-80...now there was a machine that had the average grunt running for the hills. 3-4 AT rounds was what you needed against that nasty beast. Where's the T-80 in ArmA?? I'd say then that for a pilot, we're obviously talking Shilka. For the grunt, the D-30, no doubt.
-APS-Numbat 0 Posted July 16, 2007 UAZ and transport cars for me, very fast and eratic to try and hit with an AT. And if you miss with an AT you aren't carrying an MG to battle the crew that jumps out.
ModaFlanker 0 Posted July 16, 2007 BMP. If it is much easier to mass produce BMP's than to build T72's, I would fear a horde of BMPs. A lone BMP is vulnerable to the M1A1 it has fired the AT-8 at, because it can take that single rocket hit and waste the BMP before the reload. A horde of BMP's can fire enough rockets at each M1A1 to torch it immediately, overcoming this weakness. It has a gun that can be a very real threat to air targets.. And plenty, plenty, plenty of bullets for anti-infantry. It is amphibious, so you can cross rivers or small bodies of water. ArmA taught me the beauty of the BMP. Edit: Added: As a M1A1 I fear the BRDM-ATGM... because unlike the BMP which can only fire 1 at a time, this BRDM can fire multiple rockets if I do catch it alone. If it fires first, I am toast. sander 14 Posted July 16, 2007 Hi, My vote goes to small arms. AI machinegunners with their PK's have proved to be very dangerous in Armed Assault, even more so than in OFP. I have the impression that I have been killed more times by these units than any other OPFOR unit. The BMP2 is a close second, not least because it can unload several SLA troops with PK's. Armour presents a larger target than a prone machinegunner though, which makes it easier to take out when equipped with an AT launcher. stobbsy 0 Posted July 16, 2007 U aint got my option on. The thing i fear most is other US units and players. Friendly Fire n all.
Rynthas 0 Posted July 16, 2007 D-30. One shot will ruin your day. And the guy beside you. And the vehicle he got out of half a block away. And the building behind you. It'll hit you so hard that your mother will wake up with a black eye. Extremely lethal considering all you need to fire it is one gunner. Pretty crazy accurate too, I've used it to snipe Kamovs (somebody needs to explain why a Ka-50 will lose flight control and crash after taking a hit, but not explode instantly)
-HUNTER- 1 Posted July 16, 2007 For me its definatly the shilka, I get shot down sometimes from extremely long distances, while I was just peeking up from behind cover with either the blackhawk or cobra... Its really not about a vehicle, but the weapons mounted on it. And then I would say the heavy mg's make me shit my pants the most. Mounted either on UAZ, BRDM, T72, Shilka, or just static. Rip apart the whole aircraft in seconds. The vehicle I fear the least is definatly the Mi-8!
alext223 0 Posted July 16, 2007 A UAZ with AGL on the back. Many a well laid ambush have gone to waste thanks to that little prick on the back seeing me through the trees I'm hiding behind! Then it would have to be AK, when you don't know where it coming from and the odd time when you take a position, and one of them make it behind you. Then its the shilka, when flying, you see from where your death is coming from and maybe, just maybe, slow her down and bring her down just right, I just might survive this. But, biggest fear is..... THAT BLOODY PARA BUG!

Big Dawg KS 6 Posted July 18, 2007 Shilkas by far, they're a threat to everything and those cannons can take out practically anything (even a tank). Not to mention it's armored and has a crew of 3 potential riflemen, and they're usually deployed in numbers.
Wolfrug 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Having played a bit online with 1.08 and helicopters attacking on Evo, I must say that fricken Kamov is a pretty close second (or first) to the T-72. It doesn't always spot you, but when it does you're toast. Bastard knows to use those 80mm missiles on infantry as well as vehicles, landing helicopters, tanks...heck, anything that moves. And those damned things KICK ASS. Luckily though they haven't made it smart enough to use its Vikhrs at longer ranges (or at all? O.o), or anyone even thinking of sitting in one of those "little red radar squares" would be blown to smithereens way too fast. And hey! The Mi-17 is actually a very cool opponent if you're infantry. Can strafe you quite professionally. Regards, Wolfrug
