the original sound doest show such a high level in comparision ..

I love it!! I downloaded it last night, and only got to play for a minute or two, but I was very impressed. I also didn't like the new reticule, so I'll be downloading the new patch as soon as I get home.

Seeing how Satchel Worked incredibly hard to accuratly put real life weapon sounds in the game, any nit picking about bass and authenticity (while understandable, Ive fired quite a few weapons myself) preclude the fact that Satchels done the best sound mod ever invented for any game. ever. With accurate speed of sound, bullet ballistics(well, more real that any other game) ,real life weapons, and now their sounds, Operation Flashpoint has gone to new heights. All hail Satchel. If I said great work once; ill say it again. Great work. Although *cough* the rain sound still doesnt work tounge.gif

agreed {S} Satchal. I am glad I reinstalled just to try your awesome efforts in this sound mod. It has made the game for me. It`s like a whole new level of awareness has been achieved. Hard to explain. wOOt

Found a bug. Get a dragunov, zoom in, and click the mouse really fast. Automatic sniper rifle. wow.gif

Well thats good because if we have an operation flashpoint 2 we can expect better sound already smile.gif

I have only 2 things that maybe are not correct is the sound inside a heli being too low and the ak-47 sound doesn`t seem the right one. I heard the ak-47 in project igi and some movie and was perfect but for the rest this addon kick ass.

I slightly silenced some echoes from the gunshot sounds and IMHO it sounds better.

It is a great sound mod and I recommend it to everybody. It adds alot to the atmosphere of the game.

It's actually an M16A1 in the video clip. Why? Well at one point he fires a 4 or 5 shot burst which nearly knocks him off his feet ( wow.gif ). Somthing that's not possible with a 3 burst mechanisim...

watching the footage, his body posture is one of leaning back away from the weapon, instead of leaning forward into it to brace his body. That IMHO is why the higher burst rate is pushing him back a tad as well.

He seems to be a big boy, so you`d think that shouldn`t have effected him so much anyways. rofl

Is there a way i could use the defualt Ak and m16 sounds but keep the rest of the sound addon. Sorry I just dont think they sound good the quality is bad and im at a disadvantage because i cant tell the 2 sounds appart from a distance in multiplayer.

I love the rain, and I wish I could get the real rain feeling that was present in that level in Urban Terror. I have been looking at the config (not my strong point at all) and I can't see why the rain sound shouldn't work just fine. Satchell, can you not get it to work?? I have fabulous rain sounds and thunderclaps on a cd that I am sampling, and I am going to look at the rain texture as well.

I have fixed the specopsmoving sound sample as well, to get rid of that terrible humming sound that came when you moved. To see what I mean, play cleansweep II, and tap the 'w' key a few times. Humm humm hummmmm! smile.gif But getting the rain to sound and show is my top priority, as the weather in Flashpoint is hardly noticable. Wind also needs to be louder.

Fabulous soundpack, close to perfect!

Since am l getting XP pro in some days then l shall put up the sounds smile.gif

Hope they are nice. Some tips is that using an installer for automatic installation to the directories you would like would be better. There are some free ones out there.

this is a Exelent sound pack i must say, but i have a question tho    sence i have downloaded it and try playing MP games  it some times gose to the blue schreen of death. i am not shure if it is the sound pack or posibly something else  it dont do it all the time but its quit increased.  my system spec are

OS win 2000 Pro

mother board   Abit VP6

processer   PIII 1ghz x 2

video card ATI Radeon 64 mb  DDR VIVO

ram  512 mb SDIMM  ECC

HD  60gb  7200 RPM

Sound card 5.1 live + MP3

any input would be greatly apreated

Just wanted to add my 2 cents to this issue. IMO, this addon is excellent, great work Satchell. Seriously, its more fun playing OFP with the mod than without it. My M-16 even "feels" more deadly and I love the sound of the MG's.

Satchel I found a clash with some addons causing your addon to not have some sounds in ofp.

the bug apeared with Maa's clsa addon upgrade (it caused that the engine sounds of the jeeps and the truck and the sounds of most of the weapons where silinced, when I remove your soundpack ofp works just fine just as it should be.

I also noticed that some of the scenes where someone is talking you don't hear him talk.

Maybe you know a solution for this bug satchel.

I verry like your soundpack but try to figure out what caused this bugs please smile.gif
