shadow 6 Posted April 29, 2007 I have tidied up the modding section of our board. You will find everything related to mission making, addon and island creation in the ADDON/MOD & MISSION MAKING category. It should be easier for everyone to navigate the modding forums now. The Arma Mission Editing forum have also been moved there. The Arma O2/Visitor forums will open once the tools have been made available to the public. Commando84 0 Posted April 29, 2007 nooo now it will take much longer to go to arma mission editing when its not togheter with other arma stuff phuh at least some official word, i thougt the mission editing section had disapeared for a few mins earlier. shadow 6 Posted April 29, 2007 And I'm sure island creators would want their forum in the regular Arma category too and I guess the modellers would want O2 in that category too The mission editing forum is now along with everything else concerning modding, just like it has been for quite some time for OFP. Oh and you just read the official word.
JdB 151 Posted April 29, 2007 Something to do with the forum structure (although not caused be the latest restructuring): In the ArmA part of the forums the Discussion section is above the Completed section, in the OFP section it's the other way around. This confused me quite alot, was there any special reason for this switch?
-DirTyDeeDs--Ziggy- 0 Posted April 29, 2007 I love change and all the drama that ensues
Macser_old 0 Posted April 29, 2007 Well,Personally I think the restructure is a good thing.Particularly with configs and scripting. It was getting a little confusing trying to distinguish between Arma/Ofp questions. At least now,you shouldn't have to prefix(Arma:/Ofp:)your topic to avoid annoying people. I'm sure that'll apply to the other forums equally.
mr burns 132 Posted April 30, 2007 This confused me quite alot, was there any special reason for this switch? I guess they only did it to confuse you Ontopic: Maybe it wasn´t a very good idea to move M.E&S out of the ArmA section. Still remember that offtopic almost got forgotten once it was moved out of the OFP board. But maybe the release of ArmA tools will draw some more attention to the ADDON/MOD & MISSION MAKING section .. you never know
DaSquade 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Quote[/b] ]The Arma O2/Visitor forums will open once the tools have been made available to the public. Since the ArmA 02 forums are now created and open, does that mean the tools are availible aswell . Correct me if mistaken.
canukausiuka 1 Posted April 30, 2007 I was wondering why the ArmA : Configs and Scripting (addons) is read-only. I know there's not been any specific code/script tools released, but there's work already being done in this area using regular text editors. Would be a good place to see some of the exploratory knowledge discussed.

I woke up to that very same reminder this morning after W0lle had moved a couple of threads in there. The configs & scripting forum for Arma is open now. I'll move A:A&M:D one notch down so its the same as OFP.
Messiah 2 Posted April 30, 2007 i think it makes sense, so good job - finally the constant barrage of questions on the complete/discussion boards can have a proper home
karantan 0 Posted April 30, 2007 I like it, a 'standard' arrangement. Way more practical and less confusing for a new members. I know. It can be very frustrating the first 10 seconds before you re-discover it  Tell me about it, it was full 12.6 seconds!
[aps]gnat 28 Posted April 30, 2007 Yep .... like the change. Thx
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted May 2, 2007 Sorry, I have to correct myself. I thought you had done something terribly stupid by merging all those three topics into just one forum!!! But the solution is good. I like it.
shadow 6 Posted May 3, 2007 I guess most people have found the mission editing forum by now so I'm unpinning this thread.
PaveQ 0 Posted May 11, 2007 I really don't like this change, now many people are posting mission editing questions to user missions forum. There should be least some sort of shortcut placed to arma section. And mission editing is quite different than island editing etc.. IMO this change makes little sense.
