McNools,

Excellent Add-On you have here.... 1 Question:

Can you make a "Replacement Pack" Addon that would replace the default vehicles with your desert pack? Something like the EBUD US SF soldier Replacement Pack and the Johnny's Marines Replacement pack. It doesn't permanently change any orginal files, but does re-skin the default vehicles for single player misisons and MP.

I could, but I don't really know how to, the filesize would be huge.

Don't have time to explain it either.

But creating a modfolder with the wheeled.pbo and tracked.pbo in it, unpacking them and replacing the textures with the desert ones and then repacking it should do what you want whenever you start the game with that mod-folder.

Nope, I don't think there is desert strykers, it says in the readme that they're fictional smile_o.gif it just didn't feel right to do all vehicles except the strykers, and I figured they looked quite nice in desert camo.

Maybe you can make some olive ones with much of desert dirt on it, like often seen on photos smile_o.gif)

Well, I could, but I don't have the time. if anyone else wants to do it using my textures as a basis, they could contact me.

I'm not sure if anyone else have had this problem or if it is just me, but I have a problem with these vehicles. I used the replacement pack made by CSL and plugged it in and it worked great. The only problem is when I use them in multiplayer. Every vehicle that is reskinned with the McNools desert (Opfor and US) is about 5 feet off the ground to me. If I shoot them, or get in them they will fall back to the ground, and then rise back up again over and over. I'm guessing that this has nothing to do with the textures themselves, but someone on here might have an idea as to the problem. Thanks in advance.

yeah i also get this problem, seems to be only the strykers and humvees, but its the only thing keeping me from using it, nothing more terrifying than seeing a hovering stryker come rolling towards you crazy_o.gif

Nobody's got any constructive critism to give yet?  smile_o.gif

Yes...

The pack should be revised to include desert camo for UH-60, UH-60(FFAR), AH-1 Cobra, A-10, and Harrier.

Mcnools: Awesome pack man, the only thing I have to say is that the HUMVEE looks like its just a Saturation/Hue job. It's an awesome pack though and I know creating a brand new texture takes awhile.

Idk a desert UH60 just would take that menacing look away from the helicopter, plus i dont think the u.s. does them, at least

No, I dont believe they have them either, think they just use Black in situations like that, but it would be interesting to see.

The problem is in the replacement pack I belive, so you'll just have to ask the guy who created it smile_o.gif I have nothing to do with it.
