ebud 18 Posted February 25, 2007 Pic thanks to Parvus UPDATE : 25 March ADDON DESCRIPTION ================= This addon represents generic US Special Operations and plain clothed units (SF, CIA, Contractors, etc) units by supplying default ARMA models using custom textures. Included are units in woodland, tri-color desert, CQB and civilian clothing. This is the final version of these units. If something is broken I'm not sure when or if I'll be able to update them. Thanks to Wolle, the missions should now work. UPDATED LINKS FOR MARCH 25 SuckySuckLongTime Main Download

Heatseeker 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Unfortunetly i cant test these yet but from the CF thread pics they looked pretty good. Are you going to make a delta, ranger pack one day... ? when i saw the pics it came to mind..
ebud 18 Posted February 25, 2007 Probably not. Once the tools come out there will probably be a lot of ranger and delta addons. Lol.
Heatseeker 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Probably not. Once the tools come out there will probably be a lot of ranger and delta addons. Lol. But... if you would make them people would give up and try something else . Its not hard to look at the LB picture and imagine these guys with diferent helms, vests, goggles... I'll shut up now, hopefully i'll be able to try'em next week, thank you... again .
ebud 18 Posted February 25, 2007 Haha, maybe, but once the tools come out there are a lot of other things I'd rather make that others won't
Peanut 0 Posted February 25, 2007 As said before, those are some kickass units. Did you work on the missions from the last version? The PSD Defend mission always freezed my comp when I finished it. Also the bomb.sqs wasn't found
AimPoint 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Great work Ebud ,I like alot!! I notice you have chenged the helmet texture in wood & des units..mmh I prefer as before, like showed from Parvus in his pics. I think they fit better with the rest of datails!..but this just IMHO. Also no Medic logo on his backpack.but may is not possible to keep on custom texture,I don't know. All the rest is Ebud certificate!! thank you

All the rest is Ebud certificate!! thank you I agree... sorta. I'll probably change them back. When I started them I wanted plain kevlar, but it looked weird since the normal maps were made for helmet covers and had the cloth seams in it. After I got around to finally changing the normal maps to make the helmets smooth it looks great and actually looks like plain kevlar, but doesn't look as nice. I'll add the helmet covers back in,but might keep one unit without them for each side. Thanks for the comment.

Soul Catcher 0 Posted February 25, 2007 very nice, i especially like the civilian units. Would you by any chance do a version which doesn't require the entry tools addon aswell?
Connors 0 Posted February 25, 2007 I wouldn't half mind a Especas with a blue VDV Beret, then we could have Spetznaz

ebud 18 Posted February 25, 2007 very nice, i especially like the civilian units. Would you by any chance do a version which doesn't require the entry tools addon aswell? No, it's a very small addon, it's included with this addon, and the breaching charges are way cool. No reason to really. Why would you want it removed? ebud 18 Posted February 25, 2007 ok im having a look at them now to see what i can do with them Thanks They're all really simple and all "work" the same. I just never was able to really polish them and test them well. Also I wanted them to stay really really simple, nothing complex, not much scripting, no multiple objectives, etc. Just something simple to try the units with. Not real mission. ebud 18 Posted March 5, 2007 I was going to release them this weekend, and they're done, but ran into a few snags. Sometime this week, my guess would be Thursday.
ebud 18 Posted March 6, 2007 OK, final "beta" link posted in the first post. You need to be patched to 1.05 to use them now due to the new weapons. I'm not going to update the missions any more as they are just to have something to play with quickly that uses these. I'll post these in Addons Complete this week as long as no real issues come up. Edits made. Added back in the hemlet covers for most units. Kept the plain kevlar versions for Demo units. Added a few more classes such as team leaders, more snipers, etc. A full list of units and classnames is now in the readme.
