The config needs to be edited. Delete the required version line and re-pbo the addon with eliteness.exe

You´ll then need some luck and it´ll work ingame, except for animations which have to be adjusted/rewritten or something like that.

Wasnt BI going to release like a binarize tool where you could put OFP addons, into a program and the result was a working Armed assult PBO?

BI said much whistle.gif

Objects like houses or other objects can you easily import from OFP to ArmA, just use an normal ArmA object config. It is working, and with the textures too. But with soldiers and vehicles you can get sometimes some troubles, like no animations, i have made the GDI Disruptor (from my mod) into arma, and it can drive, and it can shoot, but atm no anims confused_o.gif have to wait for the tools, where we can see the selections and memory points. Would be cool if BI can release some free samples of LOD 0.000 and LOD Memory of a soldier/tracked/wheeled so we can take a look for the selections and the memory points. And that would work without the tools, just use O²Light.

Can someone tell me a userfriendly tool to repack the directories to a pbo file please! I tried eliteness but it crashes, even if I followed the steps. And I tried ConsolePboTool but it gives me a corrupt file and cpbo I dont understand how it works. A dos Window opens but closes again immediately.

Quote[/b] ]cpbo:

Extracts and creates PBO files. Run from windows explorer to

associate it with directories and PBO files, after which you

can extract PBO files by double clicking, and create PBO files

by right clicking a directory. Also can be used from console.

The PBO path prefix is saved to and read from a special file

called $PBOPREFIX$ in the directory.

Ok I have been using this tool for creating PBO files and it great.

I can not seem to get the Extract part to work.

-cursor on pbo file

-RMB submenu LMB cpbo

-dos screen flash and nothing

path C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmAtools

if I put prog in

C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\ArmAtools

it does not work Extract nor Create.

Could some one plz enlighten me as to where I FUPed.

I had to remove a previous association to the *.pbo extension before I could get cpbo to work properly.

The model you're trying to use is Binarized, and Binarized models don't work in ArmA, at least not using the version of Binarize for OFP. Conver the model to MLOD using ODOL EXPLORER, open it in O2, resave it using O2, and then try PBO'ing it again.

in Geo Lod

Structure \ Topology \ find components

Structure \ Convexity \ Component Convex Hull

anytime you alter the geo lod then redo these steps.

Still can move through the walls (yep a box).

Let's see if I did something wrong...

Unpbo --> ODOL_Explorer (save MLOD) --> oxigen

doble click on geometry lod,

Structure \ Topology \ find components

Structure \ Convexity \ Component Convex Hull

save & repbo

I'm using ODOL_Explorer_v2.0 and cpbo.

the objects have to be closed as well. Odol Explorer can cause some problems with objects getting extra vertexes, becoming non closed etc.

use structure\topology\find non closed

anything that is highlighted needs to be closed with a face properly (if there is an existing face, press D to remove it and then add new one)

also before using the 'find components' action, delete all the exisiting 'component1, 2, 3 etc' in the names selection window.

Thanks for the replies. Basically there was no problem, I sent the addon to a friend, he tested it in the editor and it was working perfectly.

But when I do the same I can move through, and when I play a mission which uses the addon I can't move through.

Same here. Any hints to get it working?

atm i´m pretty much lost since many people use cpbo for their arma addons and all the other pbo tools refuse to open cpbo´ed files sad_o.gif
