oops AK74M with 1P29 trilux scope not appears ? Lennard and Spooky said no word about it ?

i must check it in home , but i will be night at home

I have to say the new units look a lot better than expected, i really really like them especially the SLA units are pretty awesome.

AK74M with 1P29?

What unit uses it? During tests I've put all SLA soldiers in one line - no one had this problem.

Edit

Again looked over all units - "Special Team Squadleader" has this rifle, but I have no problem with it.

No I didn't have this issue. The "Special Team Squadleader" has this rifle indeed.

i got the error with more then one rifle soi what seems to be going on huh.gif it looks like i am the only one atm with the problems

seems you have older version of weapons, please check if your file is newer than 4-th January 2009, please check file version, please use link from my first post

please do not download from other sites than this BIS forum or Arma.Info forums

please use this topic as link source, i cannot guarantee that other websites keep last version, i can guarantee only this forum topic and arma.info topic

in older version of east weapons there was a bug, it was impossible to kill DSHK gunner (version from November 2008) cause proxy in FireGeometry was missing

as i said in the bug report the latest weapon pack is installed i installed it again to be sure but the spetznaz troop give me still the error reported as well as other troops reporting no entry config.bin errors

edit : i never had trouble using your troops and your weapons before

edit 2: i checked the config and now i am realy puzzeld   the error reportd before even comes to show on the spetznaz troop who in the config us using the vil_ak103  so now i realy dont get it anymore

edit 3 : i have been checking ingame and the following weapon errors come up no entry config.bin

vil_ak74mgp

vil_ak74m29

vil_ak107c

the following unit types do not have weapons in their hands

Special team troops :

Squad leader

rifleman

SD sniper

SD Group leader

special team SD

Spetznaz troops :

Rifleman

but if those units do not appear i can tell one:

you have no VAL, VSS, SVDS, AK105, AK107 Cobra < weapons i have added in last versions, VSS, AK107, AK103 were added in November

i cannot remember when i have added SVD-S and SVD-M and AK-105 and AS VAL made of VSS

i cannot tell why it is not working, i really have no idea

but you test it, please make copy of Addons folder

please rename Addons folder (Addons_backup), please rename copy to Addons, please delete ALL addons that are not-BIS

when you will have only BIS addons, than please add just my vilas_wpn.pbo and try editor and unit : "removeallweapons this; this addweapon "vil_vss"; "  or "this addweapon "vil_ak105"; or .... "vil_val"

when VAL, AK105 will appear it would mean all with weapons pack is good and other addon corruptes it somehow

how much addons do you have ? i remember one situation in history, this addon was deleted from forum by Moderator

in history, year ago addonmaker calling himself BBAR or like this, copied my config and released "his own" weapons with my names but easy editing my config :/

so maybe you have this BBAR weapons (L85, Aug, few others huh.gif)

or just try to kill DSHK gunner

well the problem was already solved after the question if there was a older version i cheked all my mod folders (and their are some :P ) and found one little older version in 31st mod (ww2) (damn those mod makers for puting those kind of addons in their mods :P)

so i removed it and vilaaaaa it works again  

but i am still mad on you for removing the US woodland troops before the P85 ones are released :P (i made a small addon using your boonie sniper models and making special forces of them for private use but now they wont work anymore :P )

ps. the SLA and racs forces are realy cool keep up the good work

i removed it, because soon you will get

117 models of soldiers in P85_troop addon from P85 mod

inside there is really 111 models of infantry, pilots, crew

Soldiers are hmmm... as i remember:

1 ghille sniper for US

5 pilots (3 heli, 2 jet)

6 civilians

9 guerillas (civilian/military clothes and rucksacks)

16 Poles (and 2 pilots) (infantry, crew, airborne)

5 Germans (inf olive,  crew, paratrooper with backpack)

6 East Germans (inf rain-pattern, crew, paratrooper)

46 Soviets (+ 2 pilots) (khaki uniform model M69, model 84, vest, klmk, kzs, crew, sniper in hood and klmk, paratroopers in jump helmet, blue beret... most of soldiers have pouches specific to weapon they carry, for example grenadier has VOG pouches bag, sniper has SVD pouches not AK pouch bag)

23 Americans (+ 2 pilots + ghille) (army, marines, different crew for example artillery crewman made specially for static canon , guy in t-shirt and vest and M1, hehehe, cause loading those big cartridges to 105mm M119 would make him sweat in BDU biggrin_o.gif, guys in QRV-1, modular vest for GreenBerets, guy with M14 pouches)

so instead of deleted 3 teasing models you will get lots of others

addon should be working outside mod (half-modular build)

and all other my addons and other mods (if using my weapons packs) will be working on P85, we just have to finish last fixes

i will do also "bonus config" for it, to work outside mod, with my weapons and adding 1995-2000 US infantry with M4, M240, marines with M16A3 etc.

i uploaded yesterday new version of WPH and Militia/Police vehicles

changes:

WPH addon now contains Militia Biker, RACS Police SWAT operators

some more classes

Very nice units!

but, I've noticed two things on the Racs guys with pasgt vest in the editor they're as labled 'Infantryman':

a.)They don't have the racs flag on their arm

b.)The american flag appears to 'shine through'

This happens on both desert and woodland soldiers, other than that top quality work, as expectet thumbs-up.gif

soft-top landrover is BIS model :P

i know , it is error because of HDR working inside vehicle, so it is general engine bug

Actually its a combination of materials and an alpha sort issue, related entirely to the model. Any changes you're made will have adjusted the order of the faces, causing darkening or invisability.

The materials (rvmats) and textures can be adjusted to alter how dark they appear, and the face order can be changed in O2.

So not an engine bug. smile_o.gif

everyone is "wise" when it comes to comment but before i do something i am asking for example on model making forums and noone answers proper solution for problem

if anyone wanna help and cooperate on making my addons better - long time ago i gave hand to cooperate

as it seems funny, everyone knows "after release" how to fix something, but when first beta is released noone knows, this specially goes to the configs

so if anyone is as good to fix those issues, please contact me, do it and we will together put next release, i even don't want to back to hatches and wounds issues fixed myself after long long try-and-again...

i am waiting since long time for coder/materials help

You're quick enough to blame BI, or anyone else, for your problems. Maybe you should slow down a bit and learn a few more of the things involved? You dont have to be a one man addon machine you know...

But again, the problem is caused by a combination of materials, textures and the face order in the model.

Slightly lighter window glass, a different rvmat and tweak the order of the window faces in the model.

Get those sorted and the problem goes away.

it is BIS model, i used path

model = "\ca\Wheeled\landrover_police";

i just gave it my crew instead of BIS "soldierGb" class

i am blaming someon for my mistake ?

you are "funny" like always in past

you always only do "this is wrong, this can be easy fixed"
