Vilas' addons

as i told few days ago, weapons addons are "almost finished" , now i am pushing first version of "divided vehicles"

Leopards were released already as "beta" without hatches and such things

now it is time for 2 other packs:

US part of vehicles:

Mutt, Willys, LAVs-25,100,150, Bradleys, 2 M113s, Abrams tanks

changes comparing to VIBI stage:

hatches

LAVs get new shadows lods

M113A2 added

Bradleys get new shadow lods

SLA part of vehicles:

Uaz van, OT64 SKOT, 2S1 , 2S7 as my old joke, T72 three models, BMP1 2 models, BMP2 redefined and BMP2D

2S7 gunner appears

Thanks again vilas for all the time and work put into to these packs. I always enjoy your work tremendously. Thanks goes to the testers as well.

great pack , thanks .

one little bug in a quick test , the US M151 and US Willys have a independant soldier as a driver , although they are US vehicles.

one more SKOT OT-64: (also when it is in the water it floats too much  , the proppellers can be seen out of the water )

One bug to report....the suspensions don't seem to work and the rear drive bogey on the BMP2 does not turn....looking at the config to see what I find. If i find the fix I will fix it and send it to you. Amazing work...Turnouts all work perfectly!

Still there's one problem with 2S1 "Gvozdika": I can't choose commander for playing in editor, only gunner or driver.

Hi, seems that on the LAV-25III, when you're in the cargo... you

don't see it, just as if you were seated in the air floating; on the

LAV-100, you can't turn out same as in the LAV-150 where the MG

don't works for the commander. I think that the LAV-25III gunner

sight should be the same of the M2A2 or much better... the same

one (the cross) of the Stryker M2HB, that that's what don't works

on the LAV-150, that M2HB 0.5; don't works.

I've a better texture for the commander internal sight for the LAV

25III, as commander i can't turn the sight when inside and i see it

as a black box with a rectangle in the the middle. As commander of

the LAV-150... the right hand clipps through the M60, and the

LAV-25III, the LAV-150 & M2A1 & M2A2 main gun aren't 6Th Sense's

tracers compatible. But i like a lot the shape of the LAV's, they're

really pimp and RACS versions of 'em will be even more pimp. Let's C ya

have you deleted old VIBI addon ?

cause i left old classes to make sure that old missions will be working, so if you have old VIBI addon, the same classes defined in 2 configs may corrupt "proxyforceoptics=1" and etc.

Hi, i haven't even installed the previous ones; i just want/need the

LAV-25III, that's why i downloaded the pack, to try it out and check

if i gonna keep it or not. Let's C ya

has anyone other problem with lack of interior ?

but yes, on LAV 150 top machinegun works only when you are out, it is not possible to fire from inside like on tanks when there is mechanism to use HMG as AA machinegun as far as i know and thats why it works only when commander is out

after binarisation proxies inside disappeared

fixing right now and i am making update with LAV 25 interior problem fixed

EDIT:

LAV 25 inside fixed, error was in proxies , that after binarisation were disappearing

You might want to hold up just a tad on re-releasing Vilas as I might have a fix on the Dampers for you tonight as well as the BMP2 rear wheel problem (not spinning). Just found the problem I think. will get to it after work!

My buglist:

West:

-LAV-25 should be amphibious, it just sinks and gets damaged at the moment

East:

-Missing alpha channel on BMP-2D's track teeth

-2S1's front sprocket doesn't turn (similar to the problem with the rear one on the BMP variants). Some of the sprocket's teeth rotate though, so I reckon you just need to redefine the selection

Would be awesome if FA Dalai Lamar got the dampers working.

When you need additional damper examples:

Wheeled: RavenDK's multiple turret example (not as complex as BI's Hummers

Tracked: BI's vehicles and weapons samples (notice the additional verticles 0.15 beneath the tracks).

of course crashes, cause WPH crew suggest that other addon cre is used, just use BIS crew variant if you don't have my WPH addon

every vehicle has 2 types of crew - BIS or custom models from WPH addon

I don't know if this is the right place to ask about it, but I've been playing around with some textures to make a more authentic British-style GPMG, basically just a simple edit of the one in your weapons pack;

As far as I know though, the British don't use magazines, they just beltfeed them, so it would probably be even better if the magazine came off. I think UKF simulated it by simply making a gimpy with no visible ammo (Fair enough in my oppinion).

I just darkened the whole thing, eliminated that incredibly horrendous green tint and added a new stock texture. As far as I can see it looks unmistakably like the real deal now.

It's purely for my own amusement, but if you'd like to include it as an alternate version, I'll just send you the tex smile_o.gif

On an offtopic note I also played around with the HWM Fal's, but I'd better talk to those guys before I start fantasizing about an addon honoring one of the most awesome weapons manufacturers of the last century.

There exists a green plastic clip-on ammo box for the GPMG.

There are photos of it in use in Afghanistan. The one in your

screenshot is pretty close.

There also used to be a steel 50 round clip-on ammo can for

the GPMG (heavy, awkward, rattly as hell and un-popular but

nevertheless sometimes used - I think they were originally

intended for use in the jungle).

There were also jury-rigged affairs using old pouches (useful

for keeping your link clean when slogging across the Irish

bogs and also good for avoiding a fine if you lost any rounds).

...it looks unmistakably like the real deal now.

Apart from the carrying handle, of course. That style hasn't

been used on British guns since the X15 trials guns in the

late 1950s. Your model actually looks more like an Australian

gun.

On an offtopic note I also played around with the HWM Fal's,

Those "HWM" FALs are an utter travesty. I nearly fell off my

chair laughing when I tried one of them. "Vilas" here has made

some FAL addons too, but I haven't tried them since several

revisions ago. They may be better than those "HWM" ones.
