Big Dawg KS 6 Posted November 30, 2006 Sometimes it's not possible to pickup the last remaining RPG from a crate/body.. Yea that happened in OFP (with all magazines) too because the last magazine was loaded in the weapon, I suppose it might be intentional. Then again it might not have been. But either way there's an excuse for it.

opf12345 0 Posted November 30, 2006 the smoke not being affected will be a engine limitation
teaser 0 Posted November 30, 2006 worked fine in OFP with ECP chopperdust (methinks)
ThePredator 0 Posted November 30, 2006 I was unable to pick up the SVD and the AKS-74UN on some server, every other weapon pickup worked. Bug maybe? Grass is useless. You can't conceal yourself in it and you see nothing lying in the grass. Either fade player parts in the grass even on distance or let the scope and binocs look over the grass. Allenn 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Hey i keep getting this problem with my copy of ArmA (czech version)i can get rid of the problem by changing resolutions, however after a little bit the problem comes back I'm running ArmA on: intel pentium 4 2.9ghz processor ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and 1024gb ddr ram o and aside from problems like the above screenshot ArmA runs very good on my PC at default settings going at 20-30 fps Im happy to say that this problem has resolved with the new patch. Thx BIS!

Maddmatt 1 Posted December 1, 2006 worked fine in OFP with ECP chopperdust (methinks) No it didn't, and it's a feature no current game has. The chopper has no effect on the smoke from the smoke grenades and that would be a very demanding feature. Maybe you were just drunk when you thought you saw it . That's some harcore physics calculation. I guess even a physics engine with dedicated hardware would have its problems with it.
Metal Heart 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Quote[/b] ]That's some harcore physics calculation. Nah. You would just see if there's a chopper nearby the particles and apply force to them according to distance and angle. Just like the wind affects particles in OFP, only a bit more complicated. It could even be scripted if you can control the velocity of a particle after it's been dropped (or have short lived particles that create new particles where the previous dissappears (possible in OFP) and give it a new vector). Balschoiw 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Don´t know if this has been mentioned yet, but mines can´t be picked up again once they have been planted.

Ok so I guess it's not THAT demanding . But no games ever bother with it, would be nice though.

Do work here with 1.0 and 1.01 Don´t understand why, but maybe it´s connected to the CD key determining the language. Using my cz key on german version. Found something else: - Dropped ammo disappears. That happened during the second dolores sidemission. Had some M136´s piled up by this house and when i came back from mining the road all i found was hot air which could be picked up though http://www.surfacezero.com/uploads/burns/arma_ammogone.jpg

Didn't you have to be an engineer in OFP to deactivate mines? Maybe a Black Op could do it aswell.

ThePredator 0 Posted December 1, 2006 The lensflare is corrupted. It appears as some greenish dots on the side of my screen. Not as it should right over the screen. In the mission Messenger, the second truck uses completely odd routes and gets stuck in the valley. Not every soldier mounts the truck anyway.
Maddmatt 1 Posted December 1, 2006 The lensflare is corrupted. It appears as some greenish dots on the side of my screen. Not as it should right over the screen. That is the situational awareness. Green dots are friendlies within a human FOV but not on the monitor, and red for enemies.
ThePredator 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Hahahaha....pricless. The topic is quite short in the manual. But this is kind of dumb. Why have this feature if you could increase the FOV to 85 °? But thanks for the hint.

It was originally implemented in Elite partly due to the difficulties of playing on a console, or so I believe that must have been one of the reasons. Kosojob 0 Posted December 1, 2006 is it possible to control in-game sound separately from hardware ones? just that when using any voip programm or just listen music while playing you have to choose between not hearing your teammates/music, or being deafened by sound of tanks engine or helicopter. dont know if it was fixed in ofp. P.S. dunno if its a feature or a bug , but harrier is god for nothig plane against heavy armor, it takes all of 4 rockets to blast 1 abrams, and still crew will have time to evacute before explosion. you cant lock targets while on bomb armed harrier and its realy hard to spot an armored column on high speed and on low speed you are easy target, think ill just have to wait whole round for somebody to lock me a target by a laser pointer, if there is one of course, just havent checked this one out. Two things... * The missles are anti-air based. Of course they are completely inadequate against armor. * The bombs are laser guided and cannot lock onto targets from within the harrier. For now, treat them as dumb bombs. - dRB
