whats the point? Any units in GR, you can find in ofp, US Infantry, Special Forces etc etc as well a shit load of weapons to choose from.....

Why would you want extactly the same units from GR? If you want to play Ghost Recon play Ghost Recon. The current addons in the game look more or less the same if you want a character from the game. You'll need a custom face texture and apply it via the mission editor. There problem solved.

there are loads of special forces addons for ofp, we have seals, delta, rangers, commandos, SAS, French special forces, and mercenary's, ACU units and loads others all can look or are like Ghost Recon

Why is it so pointless to ask for specific units? By that logic, isnt all addon making pointless? (since its just depicting specific units which aren't in game yet )

Depends if the artwork is directly ripped (bad) or re-made by hand, based on the GR units as reference (ok)

But yeah, ripping content directly from other games is uncool.

There were some soldiers made to represent some of the Ghost Recon team members a long time ago:

Old Ghost Recon inspired addon

You could always start learning the skills you need to work on new versions yourself.

It could be fun to play some of the Ghost Recon missions in OFP, as it would take away some of the restrictions imposed by that game.

Maybe best would be to take the soldiers u need from all those packs and create an own GR-Addonpack (you will need permissions from the original makers). I dont think there are lots of people willing to load XXX MBs of addonpacks to play one single mission.

Holy crap those are old units. I wouldn't even bother downloading them as they are pretty worthless nowadays. Waaaay back then they were kinda neat, but my gosh they haven't aged well.

the most addons uses Facetex2

I know but alot of modern US forces are with ACU textures

and i need "older" camo texures like

With a little config work you could change faces with any of the face packs that are out there. Other than the original GR units you've found there aren't any others.

They're pre-resistance i.e. no handgun etc.

Wouldn't it be better to use existing addons and maybe add a new facepack or something?
