456820 Animation Pack

Huge thanks to Parvus for the release pic.

This is my animation pack which replaces around 70+ of the original animations from BIS.

I have edited some of Sanctuary's animations, Dreamynights animations and some of BIS animations to create this pack.

It originally started from me trying to create my own little animation pack for my own use by just copying and pasting some of my favourite addons, however these came with big bugs between transitions so i started editing them and came up with this pack.

This pack contains a bit more then most animation packs, i have edited the Jeep pasenger animation he now sites with his gun across his legs. The other jeep passenger animations have also been edited.

Also i have edited the Truck animations - Check below picture

for an example.

There are also many death animations included in this pack they include AT death animations, Safe, crouching, lying and several others.

Check the readme for installation instructions and also for credits however there are two people i forgot to mention in the readme until i uploaded them.

These people are;

- GOL-Vult. He helped a great lot finding specific names of each animation i requested and saved alot of time for me.

- Parvus. For creating the beautifull picture above and also the picture in the Combat photography thread which are both amazing.

Edit - Changed some of the info above.

V1.1 Change list.

- Fixed bug when if you try to pick up a weapon without already having one you sink into the ground.

- Changed right hand position to hold the actual handle.

- Tweaked some of the animations.

- Switched the names of the two running death anims so one is played more often then the other.

Still to do

- Create the leaning pack - will be done when i have created the crouch running animations.

- Fix the standing reload transitions.

Its just the butt over the sholder look that puts me off.

On which animation may that be, if its the AI aware animation then it has actually been changed in this release to a more VBS1 looking animation.

Not with this release but im working on a small lean pack however this can be fitted with other lean packs.

The second and third picture from the left. It was not how I was trained how to hold a rifle. It looks more like the American way.

Actually i based it on the british armed police when i saw on news rofl.gif  wasnt a great idea. However like i said that animation is from a slightly older release in the latest pack that animation looks like this;

Edit - Also forgot to mention first page updated with info about the passenger animations and death animations which have been replaced.

Nice job! I really like the new anmins, especially the new crouch anim. Talking about that, I thinl I'd be good, if the soldier stoops (I hope this is the right word), when he moves on and crawls, like in FFUR.

Glad you like them.

Yeah well a small pack is in the works with leaning, rolling and having the soldier 'duck' whilst moving.

The leaning animations are almost done however the rolling and new walking and running still need to be done.

Great job, looks like a lot of time spent. Can't wait to try these after I get home tonight.

Very curious as to what units those are in the release image!

Good effort! One lil bug i have sussed out so far:- Drop a weapon (i did this with the m60 machine gun) now pick it up and you're unit for a second or two sink's into the ground up to it's waist sad_o.gif

Mmm... yes ive notcied this bug aswell, dont have a clue how its possible ive gotten it.

No animations have been deleted only replaced unless some animations have gone missing whilst packing it into a .pbo

Ill invest further into this situation - Same happens if you shoot a few civillians.

Maybe my original BIS anim.pbo is corrupt ill try the one direct from the CD.

I have, trying to implement the leaning animations aswell like you. However im 100% sure i followed the instructions right but also how would this mess the anim.pbo up aswell?

Well it also happens when trying to light fires which is the same animation as picking up the weapon. But i cant be bothered with that so ill just copy the anim.pbo off the cd again and use that.

Not sure how my anim.pbo lost some files though.

Also from the size difference there could be a few missing it should be 11.2mb once extracted from the .rar confused_o.gif
