Logitech G7, same problem as well. This was also an issue in OFP back when I had a Logitech MX500 corded mouse, so I don't think it's strictly related to wireless mice or ArmA. I'm surprised no one brought it up before now - it was, and is, incredibly difficult to make minute adjustments in aim at longer ranges. Anyway, I've never experienced this in any games other than OFP/ArmA.

I'm not too keen on the jamming feature but we do need to move while reloading. We have enough artificial limits in-game as it is. Question is, would the entire animation system need an overhaul?
-
Runs much better than the previous demo ... almost as good as OFP on this old machine. Seems much more polished as well.
-
Silly question - have you tried removing one of your video cards and running the game? Seems like a lot of people are having issues with SLI/CrossFire ... might be worth a shot just to see what happens as there are plenty of other members with lesser systems that run on higher settings without problems. Lots of naivety regarding hardware here. Bottom line is, his system should have NO problems playing on normal barring bad settings or a hardware problem.

Semantics Source 1: " Both sides will have artillery pieces available to them at certain times during the campaign." Source 2: "We want to create an even more intensive combat experience in Armed Assault. Besides photo-realistic graphics, larger numbers of troops, and more complicated battles, new combat aspects, such as artillery, will be introduced to make the experience even more intense." No cry-cry here. Simply wondering what they have been doing that they never implemented some things they planned to. For all I know we'll see working artillery in the US release. Anyway, this is getting off-topic so last post on my end.

Hosting the MP mission (so the AI runs locally) is as close to running SP as you can get at the moment. With the US release 3 weeks away you might see an updated demo with SP pop up somewhere, but no one's mentioned anything so don't count on it.

Wow. Is there an underground movement against non-cooperative missions for ArmA that I don't know about? I've never seen so much blind hatred and bias as I have in the last few months whenever someone mentions CTF or DM. Celery / Frantic - I never played Hexenkessel in OFP and I don't have the full version of ArmA yet, but I wanted to say congratulations. I don't know what you did but it must be pretty good to incite such a riot among these "adults" that never learned the concept of sharing during childhood. I'll be sure to check it out once the US release rolls around. I officially award you both one attaboy!

Quite the opposite in my opinion. Sounds in ArmA may be the worst aspect of the game. Hopefully G85/JAM can come to the rescue. Great video in any case!

Suma said ATI is working on a fix. That's all there is to go on and I don't see any reason not to believe him. Just have to be patient.

Does the Coolbits registry tweak not work with the new drivers?

Field of view can have a lot to do with it. Close Combat: First to Fight made me physically sick almost instantaneously and would last for about an hour afterward, all because everything is so narrow and close-up in the FPV. I can see your point about syncing movements as well. ArmA is known to be a little fudgy in that area where your input doesn't immediately / directly translate in-game, but it's touted as a realism feature. I personally find it annoying. One thing you can try is to disable the floating zone in the options ... it'll keep your weapon from floating around independent of your body when you're not scoped in. I know OFP was the same but it doesn't feel right in either game to me. Try changing the FOV as well.

Shinier graphics? At this point I'd rather see them throw their full focus towards Game 2 rather than squeezing the last few ounces of life out of the current engine by making another expansion.

Yet another ArmA sound modification
450R replied to chammy's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Sounds great, it really adds some meat to the bones of Arma's lackluster sound. I'm not sure how I missed your OFP stuff ... is 2.0 the latest available? -
I use it for the FPS counter and the shader that maintains color at night ... I don't care for the rest.
