wipman 1 Posted August 2, 2006 Hi, as this is my own project with no support or help by any other OFP player, addon maker or mod maker, i've decided to start a tread about this project of mine in this section of the forum; because this units beeing based on released units, aren't released yet and if i can't do some big things concerning this projet... i gonna advandone it as soon as i found out that i can't nothing more for it by myself. Now the Progress... i've remade the zipper on one of the DLEM_MEU units, but i think that i've to redo the ass pockets to rise 'em up to they'r right place. DLEM_MEU: I hope that you like that small update, i'll keep working on 'em as much until they'r finnished or until i can't do anything else with 'em. nephilim 0 Posted August 2, 2006 make sure you add some IBA´s to those or RAV´s the butt pockets are too deep. like theyre stuck under the buttocks. if you use od gear make sure you get the right color OD is normally an olive tone which is a slightly brownish green (or green with some more red in value) cant say more atm its pretty early to say more about those keep it up

wipman 1 Posted August 2, 2006 Hi, yes Nephilin, i should adjust not only the pants back pockets, also the costure of the ass reinforcement and of course the colour of the vest and ammo pouches; but here is where i have the problem... as i don't know how to map/remap with the O2, the Knee pads share the texture colour with the vest and pouches, and there some more textures in that kind; that as i don't know how to remap... i can't do a specific texture for each thing, knee pads, med-kit pouch, ammo pouches, gas mask pouch... and holster. I was thinking in do a Tan vest and use it in both (W) & (D) versions, but ain't like the idea; maybe just for the desert version. Let's C ya
wipman 1 Posted August 19, 2006 Hi, i've remade the ass costure and reinforcement, now i think that looks better, but the ass reinforcement isn't really in this way, but well; my problem still beeing the same, remap the ammo pouches, gas mask pouch and med-kit pouch; also the knee pads and some other things, any help will be apreciated. Until now im working only on a single model, the rest of the models are on hold until that i do all the woodland textures or until i realize that i can't do nothing more. Let's C ya Small Update:
wipman 1 Posted August 20, 2006 Hi, i've worked a bit on the helmet textures of the woodland version, i don't think that i gonna go a uncovered version with the velcro squares at the sides for the Team Leader, but i don't know. Helmet: Let's C ya

CameronMcDonald 146 Posted August 20, 2006 Fix the MICH straps, they are all meant to be the same tone of black. I recommend LSR or TQP's. Looking very nice, otherwise.

nephilim 0 Posted August 21, 2006 make sure you remove insignias from sleeves/helmets havent seen and marine/force recon units wearings such things. some force recon guys have the flags on their arms but thats rare afaik
Tom_48_97 523 Posted August 21, 2006 Nice job as usual WipMan
GD Mast 0 Posted August 21, 2006 If you look at the left helmet picture , the US flag is backwards. Just wanted to point that out. GD Mast
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted August 21, 2006 If you look at the left helmet picture , the US flag is backwards. Â Just wanted to point that out.GD Mast "The US flag never retreats" so it should indeed be the other way around
Hornet85 0 Posted August 21, 2006 Flags or any patches at all is rare on Marines mostly only a flag on the vest or nothing at all. Dont know wy but thats the only way i have seen it
wipman 1 Posted August 23, 2006 Hi, yes Hornet, i've been looking to some USMC grunt & Recon units and they don't any kind of flag, company or squad patch, on the sleeves or in the helmet; only some grunts they'r tipical & personal rebel flag or rebel flags subdued in the helmet or things like that; but nothing official. So... i gonna remove any patch on the units, i may do various helmet covers textures and, maybe... just maybe... some uncovered Mitch 2000 helmet texture. wipman 1 Posted August 24, 2006 Hi, im glad of hear that some one likes this upcoming changes, this may also (i should check it 1St) allow me to add the sleeves pockets in a bigger size, what i don't know is if i could add 'em in the right possition, as diagonaly oriented, if don't... i'll had to put 'em vertical, and that's unrealistic; but, as no one complained about this matter in any ACUPAT dressed unit, then it's not so important i think. A "solution" may be to add 3D sleeves pockets, but that's something that i can't do myself. Let's C ya
wipman 1 Posted August 27, 2006 Hi, i've removed the subdued yankee flag and the squad path from the woodland mitch version and added some costures instead the plain shadows. This is how it looks like: DLEM_MEU Progress: Well, i think that's not so bad but's not so good; but may serve. Let's C ya
nephilim 0 Posted August 27, 2006 hmm have you checked the latest pics available of the recons? they have some new nvg mounts shaped in a <> manner i can post some pics if you cant find them
wipman 1 Posted August 27, 2006 Hi, i think that i know Nephilin, which NVG's mount you mean, but i just can retexture this units, as im not a modeler i can't do that mount (i don't even know how to remap textures), i think that i could take the Mitch 2000 from other units and use it in this units; and then, with that mapping... i think that i could do uncovered Mitch helmet textures, but i don't like that idea... because as im not a modeler i don't know how to make those move with the units head instead stay inmovile in the iar while you move the unit head to the sides. Thanks for the pics offer, but i don't gonna need 'em. Let's C ya
SASR Sabre 0 Posted August 28, 2006 hey mate just a little tip; move the stitching or 'material joints' over to the edge of the mapped area. That way you get rid of the ugly looking edge and it just looks like the stitching. otherwise it isnt looking bad at all.
wipman 1 Posted August 28, 2006 Hi, yes sabre i should do that, but you know how tired is that?, i guess i'll do it because the helmet texture isn't ready yet, so i could do that too. Let's C ya
