lol, not quite. I preferred the old head-models, but its nothing I can't fix for private use.

Same here... I just hate that one face from Llauma's heads...

If llauma's head only has the one face, then what is contained in and the purpose of facestex2.pbo?

I prefer this head to the default one.

I think what he means is, there is little/no variation in the face textures themselves and/or the scripting that supposedly randomises the face selection.

Either way, these units are top-notch, as too is the update to the weapons pack.

lovely pack, but i do wish that addon makers adopt the two pack strategy - one with Llauma, one without - thus not breaking MP missions where squads use custom face files. There are just as many people who prefer the new heads, as there are those that prefer the old. question of taste.

It´s the finest addon i´ve ever seen! But i have a problem with the face textures. The command THIS SETFACE "xxx" doesn´t work. I´d love to use the Hoot face from BHD included in the pack, but i always have the eternal llauma clone face. How can i change the face? Maybe some unknown (for me) script?

Standard made for BIS faces won't work. Nuff said. Only faces made for the specific head model will be able to use that command.

Ergo, the "thise setface 'XXX'" command wont work AFAIK. It might, but if it does, it'll be look really weird (mis-mapped textures etc.)

No one knows where we can get some converted faces or some other faces and a command to change them?? there must be a way to use ore than these 2 faces that ive spotted.

I tried writing the line SOLDIER (i mean the name of the unit) SETFACE "lsr_hootnew" (for example) in the activation field of any waypoint, instead of placing that command in the init field, and it works! (i know someone mentioned it before)

I don´t know why it doesn´t work in the init field, as usually does the standard BIS faces.

You can use the llaumas head textures, called "llm_sol0" (from 0 to 14, if i remember well), the "nom_ofpl_sol0" (0 to 12) or "lsr_garrisonnew" and the eric bana face mentioned above.

You can add it to a trigger with activation: time > .5

But as I remember, if you get into vehicle and / or getout you will loose this face. So you need a script which will set this all the time (this is like offtime did it inside facetex addon)

That is my complaint. I noticed with my woodland CCT doin a halo with my SEAL team, my guys head texture "flickers".

it looks like its cycling through all the llauma head textures.......looks especially odd at night. like his head is blinking almost........that really is a dead giveaway to tonal rebels when youre stalking through the jungle. crazy_o.gif

Also, when my CCT gets out of a vehicle (mind you, its the radio man, so aside from his added radio on his back, his back is devoid of packs like a hydration system)

Like i said, when the radio man (whos model has nothing on his back) gets out of a vehicle, it looks like a crude hydration pack is attatched to his back in addition to the radio hes carryin, so you get a really ugly lookin hump back thing where his added radio conflicts with the model of that CCT himself (a crude hydration pack, minus the textures)

Also, i noticed that when my desert CCT radio man does a halo from a plane, his bald head gets an olive drab floppy hat spawned on it. confused_o.gif

These are what i noticed.......could be more bugs on other models that i just dont know about.

Well, for starters, M4 is replacing M16 in US Army... and copy&paste? Hmm? Doesnt' the Rangers pack have dozens over variations? huh.gif

why don't the rangers mostly have regular army weapons.

They do - M4s have pretty much replaced the M16 in US Army service. Also, the Rangers are a special unit, they get better weapons and accessories than regular troops

UnpBO the unit PBOs and read the config.cpp file. All the classname sshould be contained in there.

OK.

I've encountered a glitch myself... to the addition to those mentioned here.

If you use a "init.sqs" script in your mission and SIMULTANEOUSLY mine and Voyager's "lsr_pjhalo_airstart.sqs" thing, you'll notice some funny behaviour for the paratroopers. That's because ANY init mission script seems to override the variables in our scripting. Will be addressed in the future update.

I'm taking some rest now, hiding from the OFP community for a while... hope you won't get down hard on me for this. I'm not quitting, there's no dispute, and i hope we'll get something to play with this summer.

Plus, i've got a mission on my hands, by Chaos studios, using my HALO jumpers and Heli crew pack. I hope to put it out soon.

Abbreviations used:

(S) = Unit with silenced weapon

DES = Unit in Desert BDU

For the JAM Units simply add _JAM_ to the classname between "LSR" and "usafxxx"

For example:

he's not disappearing, he's taking a break and to be honest he deserves one. The errors can wait to be fixed, they don't really affect the playability of these units. So enjoy the break laser, you sure as crap stinks deserve it smile_o.gif

they do for me.  the cct guys don't load.  and when i start the game, i get an error about a certain m4.  getting the pilot pack made some of the pack playable, but what else am i missing? (i have facetex thingy) banghead.gif  banghead.gif  banghead.gif

you need CoC dover i think . .. read the readme {its there}

Make sure that you have (prefertably) the newest JAM and facetex2 (which you mentioned already), all the .pbo's in thePJ&CCT pack, the newest Weapons Pack, coc_diver.pbo and TACTevents.pbo. That should work. If it doesn't, even when you place all of the .pbo's in a single mod file and run OFP (1.96) with only them loaded, well then it's a real problem.
