sanctuary 19 Posted December 20, 2005 DMA pistol anim replacement pack 1.1 for OFP A rework of the the DMA pistol animation pack 1.0 , supposed to be improved (at least i find this version 1.1 a bit less horrible than the awfull 1.0). If for some reasons, you prefer to use the DMA pistol animation pack 1.0 , back up the previous DMApistol.pbo as the version 1.1 will overwrite it. In the case you always have it, please remove every presence of the old file sancpistol.pbo before installing this pack, it could lead to some incompatibility problems. You are free to use/modify/change/release anything you want based on those packs or in your own modification without having to ask for permissions to DMA members. Common sense and credits to Dynamic Mission Alliance would be appreciated though. Download Mirrors (more mirrors are welcomed) ---------------- Filefront mirror Rapidshare mirror OFP-Center.de mirror Read the included Readme.txt for installation instructions and credits. No further update on this pack will be done for "lack of time and interest in it" reasons, so if something is visually disturbing for you, feel free to correct it with OFPAnim. Merry Christmas with some day of advances. Sanctuary

mr burns 133 Posted December 20, 2005 A rework of the the DMA pistol animation pack 1.0 , supposed to be improved (at least i find this version 1.1 a bit less horrible than the awfull 1.0). Nah, don´t you exaggerate a lil bit? Always loved your pistolanims and as they seem to having been there all the time i´d say it´s more than fantastic work! If these new ones are even better, well what else can an ofp maniac ask for Thanks for the nice gift edit: Mirror@ http://ofpc.de DMA_Pistol-anim replacement pack 1.

Thunderbird 0 Posted December 20, 2005 Frankly the previous pistol animations were looking perfect to me, what a perfectionist. Keep it up as usual. Regards TB84
tankieboy 0 Posted December 21, 2005 Never used pistol animations until this version. Very nice work. The prone anim is the best in my book.

456820 0 Posted December 21, 2005 looking great but i dont know about that standing one with the pistol up to his face like james bond the army are told to hold your pistol down so if a round does go off it gets some one in the foot and not the head and doesnt deafen them just incase but looking good downloaded what a x-mas this is turning out to be FFUR is on its way this WGL island and all sort its great nice work
hidden_spectre 2 Posted December 21, 2005 i totally agree wid ya.....but as sanctuary has allowed to completely modify his animations, so do as u like or copy/paste the standing pistol anims of ur choice. its as easy as it sounds....
456820 0 Posted December 21, 2005 weird ive just been playing and i havent ran into that Anim yet i just get him standing aiming, crouched and lying down aswell as the others but not the standing anim with the gun upto his head. but i do prefer these anims then the other pack very nice work A little request here with these anims wouldnt it be possible to make a running reload anim ? The anim which would be in place of the running to reload couldnt you make him carry on running whilst reloading it may take a while but ive never tried to make an anim before so i dont even know if this is possible but if you could im sure everyone would download it. Its never been done for ofp you have to stop and reload. Whilst in the British army you are told to reload whilst running forward whilst the people who are ready start covering fire (Im talking about the manuvere 'Rush' i think anyway ive not been in the army so im not totally sure but atleast thats to my knowledge But great work with these anims

Quite surprised that we never had to make the drills while on the bogg
Jackal326 1182 Posted December 21, 2005 weird ive just been playing and i havent ran into that Anim yet i just get him standing aiming, crouched and lying down aswell as the others but not the standing anim with the gun upto his head. but i do prefer these anims then the other pack very nice work Its only used by the AI as a form of "safe" animation, that they use when not engaging enemy, or in the "DANGER" combat mode. Just place yourself and a friendly AI armed with only a hand-gun, and you'll see the animation being described above by '456820'.
456820 0 Posted December 21, 2005 ahh that will be the problem doesnt matter im not totally bothered by it so ill leave it as it is
sanctuary 19 Posted December 21, 2005 If you prefer to have the AI units having their handguns pointing to the grounds when begin in "stand ready" position, you can do the following : Inside the BIS big file named O.pbo (that can be found in ...\Res\AddOns\ ) , you can find a folder named "Anim" Get the following file from it :one -pawarestat.rtm -pawarevlevo.rtm -pawarevpravo.rtm the first file is the AI static position itself, the 2 others are used for when the AI is rotating while being "stand ready". Replace the files of the same names that can be found in the DMApistol.pbo and you will be set. An alternative is to download Dreamy Knight pack , inside of the archive, just locate and get the pawarestat.rtm that is doing the same pointing on the ground job than BIS, but visually a lot better. Then replace the file of the same name inside the DMApistol.pbo But notice that Dreamy Knight did not made the 2 rotation files (pawarevlevo.rtm and pawarevpravo.rtm) , so you will need them from O.pbo to get a visual coherency , as the one already present in the DMApistol.pbo are modified to fit with the stand ready animation i did for the AI. The good point about the AI stand ready is the fact this animation is interpolated with the other by OFP itself, so you can use any pawarestat.rtm (or do your own) with my pack without any kind of stuttering when the AI leave his "stand ready" state and move or decide to aim. The same for the AI stand ready with a primary rifle and the other animation packs.
