so what do i need to do binarize the models?

A little status report on v2.0:

All models have been completed, some need some final tweaks and some bugs needs to be removed but release should be very soon. LOD changing is noticed much less like Nature Pack 4.

I've also converted Everon, Kolgujev with Nature Pack 3 and Malden with Nature Pack 4 that can be directly placed in the worlds folder in the ofp dir. Nogova however could not be directly replaced.

And a directly replacement does not work really well as I need to scale many trees to fit the CWC trees proportions so I just dropped that. smile_o.gif

eden.wrp requires Nature pack 3

eden2.wrp requires Nature Pack 3 but uses different forest more suitable for Everon but has the floating bug which I was unable to fix.

abel.wrp requires Nature Pack 4 that gives it a barren theme.

cain.wrp requires Nature Pack 3 and mostly uses spruce and pine trees to give it a dark look.

Nice job. I think the forests in particular really make the islands look alot better, but all the vegetation looks great, with the scattered bushes making the islands look alot more real.

Are you sure u're running the NP3? If you dont have that then the converted islands wont work properly (wont have any trees).

I dled this pack and pack number 4, the trees on Kolgujev are gone. What did i mess up?

...the installation.

Oh it's just the forest blocks on Kolgujev btw not all the trees that are missing.

I get this: Error loading brg_en\forest\brg_pineforest_tri.p3d (Magic).

I put both .pbos into the OFP addon folder so what i did wrong i don't know...

(and duh, Jackal4576)

Edit: NVM, i had an old version of pack 3 in another addon folder and it replaced the new one.

Having binarised these, and put them into WRP tool, I have an error.

"Error loading brg_en\forest\brg_undergrow1_tri.p3d (Magic)"

Similar story with the "common" type of forest.

I have no other BRG addons in any folders in my install apart from the Nature Pack 3 V2 and Pack 4. confused_o.gif

EDIT

OK, I think this has been a confusion... which version of the nature pack included the "Common" and "Undergrow" sets?

Hey Berghoff,

I have found a fairly serious isssue in your nature packs.

In the everon style forest (BEAUTIFUL FOREST btw, one of the nicest and most realistic I have ever seen in flashpoint) there is a serious issue.

The AI...er...does not function in the forest. They walk through it, but try having a firefight and it is almost funny. The AI is completely blind inside the forests. I put two enemy squads right on top of each other and they did absolutely nothing. I just walked up to russians at point blank and killed them all.

Those were WIPs and unfinished and decided to remove them in v2.

Few bugs, the plant called Plant 1 in the BRG3 pack blows up if you shoot it.

The plant called flower 2 is completely white, no textures.

Great pack nonetheless.

Yes, the second flower type is untextured.

I don't know if you are open to suggestions or not (for this pack or a future one), but I would like some more in the way of fields and hedgerows smile_o.gif

The cornfield and weedfield are good, and I use them a lot on my new island I am working on, but the cornfield is a little too small and I am worrying about poly count... long headges would be incredibly useful too, low poly, low object count.

Sorry to bring this up again but I have a problem with the latest Nature Pack 3 that i have been unable to solve.

Every time I try to place some of the undergrowth objects and some trees I get this message that says "error loading brg_en\....p3d".

They worked fine in previous versions so am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
